Getting Part time in McDonalds, Subway or whichever restaurant chains is easy.
Cons in those jobs.
1. They will make you work like machine, even single second, they wont allow you to be free.
You lose all energy and tend to get back pain, shoulder ache etc, then how can you focus studying when their purpose is to get white collar job (which is IT or some admin job)
2. Getting part time in an Indian restaurant or Indian grocery is not easy again not too tough, Owner analyzes you every way, Only if he knows you will work like machine, he will take you in, treatment and work allocation will be worse than Canadian restaurants, at one you will realise he is taking advantage or under paying you with fake promises or sugar coated words to get work done.
Only way to escape above hard core tiring jobs, people will tend to choose security jobs, over here it is not that tough, you simply walk or few smart people tend to get locations where they can sit and guard the place, here in this scenario, no work stress, people can study, do home works or talk to frienda or parents in India. Thats why these jobs have severe demand.
More over mind set changes for a person working un mcd, kfc or any restaurant changes realizing when his friend or someone having job in security and not working ass off.
Working in mcd or restaurant will be good for month or two. Not more than that.
Honestly not a good recommendation for students to work in restaurant, paying lakhs for tution fee, if you fail, most colleges or Universities will ask you to redo the course from scratch and pay fees for that particular course again, will make you sit with juniors for that course. It is mental pressure going through that situation.
Recommended jobs for part time for students
1. Security
2. Gym coach for University if you have a good physique
3. Examination invigilator
4. Library
5. Any university or college admin jobs
6. Cashier in super stores

Dude, please speak only if you have a knowledge on the reality, economics, and stats. Guys, if you are planning for Canada for highers studies or jobs please hold on until March 2024. Don't beleive this video. Not just Canada, be it US, UK, Australia, NZ or Europe. Situation is bad and it is going to go worse according the data from the last couple of years. With the cost of living in Canada (Ontario or BC or Alberta) you cannot survive with the survival jobs as mentioned in this video.
The best example is few cites in UK went to bankruptacy. China sitation is bad. Cost of indian groceries has sky rocketed in western countries. Think about how many McDonalds or Tim Hortons (Cafe shop) or KFCs or Indian restaurants will be there? How many they can hire? How many hours they will ask you to work? Again I'm saying, wai until March 2024 before you make any decision.

People should understand converting INR to dollars and spending it is expensive. They definitely need a job. Part time job will not help improve in quality of life. High earning jobs are always limited. Just develop skills and target them. Otherwise people will suffer. Not that easy also not that hard but you need to have right mindset. if you are poor and lack the skills better not go to other countries until you earned enough funds to support you for atleast 5 to 6 months of expenses in those countries.
Present conditions are worst,

Students cannot pay for increased rents
Groceries
College fees.
If your parent's can support you from India, then go,

The sad reality here is— even if they show you jobs in job portals.. you wouldn’t be getting any calls.
And for one part time job— there are at least 200 to 300 candidates competing.
For full time jobs— can’t even imagine the competition.
And to be frank— there are too many who couldn’t find any job. They’re just doing survival jobs to maintain their families.
I’ve been here from 10 years and in recent times- the situation turned worse.
Please don’t give over confidence. Indias growth is far better than Canada. It’s not advisable to come here anymore. Everything became beyond affordable. There is no positive economy here. It’s becoming devilish and druggy.
There are no jobs. We Indians are greedy of each other because we are bought up in that way to accumulate wealth for future generations assuming that the future generations would live comfortably without hurdles but it’s not true in most of the cases and it makes future generations incapable to do many things, the systems here in Canada are designed for single family earning and single family savings but we have been abusing them largely and widely.

thats the whole point – people just dont want "survival" jobs. The idea is that if I am moving all the way to Canada to start a new life, just surviving shouldnt what one should be aiming for.
