  11. SmashScrapeFlip

mods are heavily debating whether to ban a 14 year old because they are too young to be taking advise from this sub but also 3 years older than they are.

  21. Kaarothh

    That’s not investing sir

  22. Patient_Estimate3284

Just play with little money. Seriously, you’ll get the education whether you lose 1k or 100k. This shit is like riding a motorcycle. They say you haven’t really learnt until you’ve fallen and hurt yourself. Same applies here, if you haven’t lost a great percentage of your capital, you haven’t learnt valuable lessons yet. So make sure that huge percentage of capital you are inevitably going to lose is multiplying a small number of money rather than a large one.

  23. SuccessfulAd5554

Stick with it, try to avoid the risky stuff until you are 17 and you will have a nice portfolio by then

  24. Finance_Analys

You are doing the right thing . Starting early !! Nothing wrong . I feel really proud about the younger generation

  25. All-in-yolo

Never too early to start kiddo

  26. Jeece712

    You can study investing.

  27. Whitebrown22

Read some books and go to some forums where the people are way smarter.

  28. OperationIncome

LOOK INTO SELLING OPTIONS. Start here, get super familiar with it, start small and add income as you get older/learn more. Do not fall into trap of buying options (unless of course that is your wmbition))

  29. Huge_Alfalfa8955

You are in a great place to invest. Learn that resources are finite. See what people need to survive. In bad times people still need water and food to eat. I tend to invest in resources. Don’t get tricked by people telling you something, rely on your own due diligence (research). Make sure not to use stocks as a slot machine but use it as a game of poker that relies more on skill than luck of the draw.

  30. jackoirl

    Genuinely not funny.

    Mods need to ban this

  31. Maskedbandittrader

At this rate, I’d drop out of school and learn primitive survival schools, winters coming.

  36. PortfoliYOLO

I would literally pay money to downvote this more than once

  37. Savings-Alarm-8240

Leave this subreddit, save your money diligently, and don’t squander it in your youth. Once you’re older, you will have enough to put a down payment on a house, then rent out the rooms to your college/university buddies.
You will never need to pay rent, and you will own a home by the time you graduate.
I cannot emphasize how important saving money when you’re young, really is.

  38. Here4_da_laughs

Why is everyone saying ban him? This is literally how our society is setup.

Why is a 5 year old selling lemonade? To entrench our capitalists ideals into our children. There is no hardwork involved in that. Why are our girls scouts going door to door peddling diabetic cookies to their community? Same shit different product.

The market was meant to be a way for companies to derive capital from the community now it’s evolved into a Casino don’t be mad the kid wants to see behind the curtain.

Take a good look OP you want a balanced education inside the classroom and outside. You’re probably gonna lose a shit ton of money before you gain anything but experience is the best teacher.

Use this as research. We use to play the stock market game in school (9th grade)and the shit was so delayed our portfolios would get hammered, it put me off from investing for 20 years. At least you might see some success from real-time responses. Some brokerages even let you use a simulator. Try some of that in addition to making some real trades when you get comfortable.

Maybe stick to the DOW stocks so you can at least use the futures indicator as a good/bad warning.

  39. sakuragi59357

Please don’t tell me you’re doing options.

  40. Test_Tackle

Never too early to start investing, but do it passively.
Don’t invest more than you’re willing to lose. Prioritize learning above all else (including making money) for the next few years. If you’re going to try and ‘beat the market’ before you know what the hell you’re doing, you might as well invest in a good fake ID and go to the casino.

  41. Difficult-Scholar403

I lost 30k gambling when I was 13 trust me it’s not good I’m 17 now and addiction free tho

  42. xxxkaton

  43. EntireNebula8978

I feel like you could just control alt delete your way out of this by averaging down to make up these losses. Some member was on here the other day saying that Monday might be a difficult day, so you knew this could happen.
