Thank you. My spouse is retiring early, 51 yo, we are planning on rolling her 401K over to an IRA but she also has an active 401K loan. Does the loan rollover as well? She pays the loan back per paycheck, how would it be paid now with the new IRA or is it even allowed? Thank you!

Just to clarify, you CAN rollover while you're still enrolled with your current employer. It's called an in-service rollover. Non-taxable as well, as long as you transfer it into a traditional IRA and not a Roth.

I currently have a 401(k) open with my employer on ADP (target date fund )and my employer is not contributing to it but I still open one I have a separate Roth IRA does it make sense for me to open a 401(k) even though my employer is not contributing and also can I roll over from a 401(k) in ADP after I change my employer to an IRA

Can I rollover if the company I work for was purchased, and the retirement plan will be moving to a different provider? My current 401k is with T. Rowe. The new one will be with Schwab. Can I rollover the old one to an IRA, and stay with T. Rowe?

I rolled over a 401k to a traditional IRA. Now, I want to open a Roth IRA (at the same institution). Since it is “rolled over” money, is there a limit on how much I can transfer to the ROTH from the rolled over IRA? Or do I still go by the annual contribution limits. I know it would have been easier to directly roll it over to the ROTH. Thanks for your help.
