Totally resonate with this video. The last person I dated was a narcissist and I was trauma bonded, everyone was baffled why I took it so hard when he discarded me. It really is about insecure attachment. You described it perfectly, it really was like a literal drug high every time I got a text message from him and then when it turned into days, weeks of not getting any communication, the low/withdrawal was incredibly painful. I've been single almost 2 yrs because I finally realized how bad my fearful avoidant attachment style was that I would stick around for and only choose emotionally abusive partners. Been working on myself ever since that ended. It's like you said, this is a big picture thing, cycles and patterns that keep happening. Up to us to break the cycle and go down an unfamiliar and totally new path. Love your videos they make so much sense. So do you think you've reached the point where you could see yourself willingly choosing a partner who is emotionally available?
