Some thoughts on this whole PayPal de boggle. PayPal is wants the ability to confiscate your money. They can easily do that because they are a private company. Blockchains on the other hand are open source protocols. As long as you hold your own private keys your money is censorship resistant to any public or private entity.

I stopped using PayPal after the idiocy of their bank verification system, and the lazy/rude customer service staff. Fuck these dipshits.
PayPal puts fellas?
Debacle?
Do you even know what a private company is OP? You definitely belong here!

Yeah but it’s still worth whatever the value of the crypto is at the time which can be anywhere between one trillion gazillion dollars and zero, and most are leaning towards the latter than the former.
Had used Paypal for years, well before many reddit users were born. Ditched them a long time ago after they always took the buyers side on ebay disputes. I heard recently that their Omaha campus is barely half used and you can rent their conference rooms for weddings and other events.
When did the news come out? Did crypto pump?

One more reason digital currency is bad.
Gonna go out on a limb and say that its a bunch of dumb social media noise and it won’t affect earnings at all, not that I’d buy this dying company
>The whole PayPal debacle is just another example of the power that private companies have over our lives. They can easily take away our ability to use their services if they don’t like what we’re doing, and there’s not much we can do about it. However, with blockchain technology, we can create censorship-resistant systems that are controlled by no one. So long as you hold your own private keys, no one can take away your money or prevent you from using it.
I rarely use PayPal really only for ebay, and I don’t use ebay much anymore specially after they are requiring tax documents now with sales over 250$ a year or whatever it is. I don’t buy much over ebay anymore either so ditching PayPal isn’t really hard for me.
