In this Silver Pros Collab we talk what silver to avoid for stacking. We were joined by the founder and president of Hero Bullion and he was able to tell us what the worst types of silver are. Silver Pros is a live stream with Silver Dragons and Yankee Stacking and is sponsored by Hero Bullion. There are many different types of silver that could be stacking, but some are worse than others. Jake gave us his expert opinion on what types of silver you should avoid if you are silver stacking or investing in silver.

I would like to thank him hero bullion is the only place I will buy from. When you play fair with your customers you get loyalty. Just got a one kilo bare from him. You are a hero to the silver guys. My income is a joke so getting a silver dealer like hero is key for me.
Thanks for this suggestion silver dragon, seems like a great company!
Thanks for the info
Just bought a 10oz bar (silver!) and the price at Hero was better than the others by far! Thanks!

silver today 18.43. great buying time.
Picked up some different types of silver to test out the selling process before committing to bigger buys. Picked up some golden state buffalo's, asahi compass roses, and TD bank silver.
TD bank required an appointment to make the sale, wouldn't take the buffalo's or compasses, and offered a dollar under spot (rip off) my local coin shop took the buffalo's and compasses for either the bid or ask (I don't recall) but they rounded up the money in my favour by 80 cents. No appointment necessary. I wish I kept a TD to see if they'd take it, but I'm sure they wouldn't be too thrilled with that.
Sovereign (RCM in my case here) can go either way so I'll stick with that.
Summary: Give your business to the local coin shop. There's an ease of sale with sovereign metals.
Informative and entertaining!
Cheap silver is a risk, and it's going to be a wash-out situation soon, many shops already Won't touch it!………it literally Defeats the point of stacking, if you CAN'T even move it…..people don't understand this.
he said cash? "who's gonna have the cash to buy that?" but if the shtf you'd be bartering right?…. maybe with those big bars, you could get a plane or just a plane ride or an auto or a bunch of guns and ammo or some land to grow on. anyway. the thought of bartering with coin sounds kinda sad and time-consuming to me. imho
New stacker here, and I got the Brittania coin. I love it
Has anyone bought from hero bullion? They seem to be quite cheaper. Looking to spend a nice chunk.
Paying 50 bucks for a commemorative coin that’s only worth it’s weight in silver a stupid
I had a 1921 peace dollar in really good condition. I'm not a collector, I'm a stacker. I have no interest in wheeling and dealing over a niche item. I did some research and found out the coin books for about $300. Ebay prices confirmed this. I took it to my coin dealer, who gave me book value, AU, $290. Now I can stack and not have to dance around with a dealer when I'm desperate for cash.
I don't trust any chinese metals.
What about silver nuggets? Good for stacking?
He sells a lot of good coins, wish he used plaid. The Britannia and Cooks Island are both very nice price and design. Please work out a deal with Plaid. Would love to order with you.
3:10 buuuuurrp
I process scrap silver and gold to .999 fine. I don't make any bars until it goes through either a silver or gold cell. I mark all the bars I process correctly (maker, weight, purity, country of origin, serial number), I also get them assayed, so the paperwork matches up.
I also purchase large qualities and process them to smaller sizes. I like 1, 2, 5 and 10 troy ounce bars, nothing bigger. Gold is harder to get, but I do process it. I like going on vacations to the great lakes in the summer, I manage to always end up getting about 4 to 5 ounces of flour gold during the vacation.
The only fractional silver I have seen worthy of purchasing is Constitutional silver.
I stack for my future and I collect to keep it interesting .
Great guest and interview.
Does anyone know what is the "proper label" a silver/gold item should have? And if possible, how has that been determined? Thanks.
You would think it would be obvious to not get the high premium, BS collectible silver yet people still get it.
I mean if that's what they like.. But at the end of the day, it's about investment or should be.
I mean some of the poured silver specialty bars and items are cool and some designs are cool but unless that high premium you paid for the item at the time, when/if you do sell it makes the item more valuable than ok. Otherwise, collect stamps lol.
Got some great eagles for $15 on Esty purchased 50 of them, sitting on real money should be priced at least at $35 a piece, winning
So Maple leaf or ok or no
This was such a delight hearing you talk about silver. You two have such a broad understanding and knowledge that can benefit those who are starting out and those whose already been established. Great video. Danka
This Bullion dealer is great – more of him please 😀
I rather do business and barter with ppl that are using minted coins (ASEs, Maples, & Brits). Just for the peace of mind of knowing they’re legit and can be easily verified vs a round or bar.
After getting burned by bad gold I bought, a Sigma Metalytics Precious Metal Verifier and test everything I buy.
I only stack kilo bars these days
To get a 1000 ounce brick from Comex delivered physical is like being the 2 nd guy on Mars try you'll see
Those American Mint Painted Standing Liberty's painted red white and blue, I bought one for each of my grandkids. I told them they were only worth $5 but man are they pretty. Now I have also given my grandkids Silver Coins, I also gave each one a Morgan Dollar. And I give them Indian Head pennies fairly regularly.
I like the Gold Plated Painted Standing Liberty's way better than just plain Copper Rounds !
Note I have paid 11.00 dollars for a penny that was originally worth 1/100th of one dollar.
I can absolutely guarantee you my silverware is not Plate !!!!
Here is where I depart from this guy. I stack Morgan Dollars. And I have no Exit Side, I plan to pass my Morgan Dollars down to my kids, just like my Nanna Passed (9) Morgan Dollars down to me. My Mom also passed down (19) 1964 JFK half dollars to me.
I totally agree with him about fancy containers, I keep my coins in Drawstring bags and I put the drawstring bags in wooden cigar boxes and then I put the boxes in my special place, so my kids know where they are.
Nope i dont buy painted of plated anything i typically wont buy off ebay either! Good reason for it! 1 too many fakes have been funneled through ebay and 2 bars rounds are double on ebay what i can get them for . So when you go tk cash out or uograde you lose momey both in ourchase and in sell and thats a hell no for me!
Thank you for this video
What about home melted bars? Maybe from jewelry maker or such area?
60% of spot seems criminal and makes stacking pointless -_-
I just ordered silver from RBC in Canada, does anyone have an idea on their delivery time? The teller had no idea.
24 DEC 2021 At the moment the HB website is in dire need of 10 oz silver bars. Picked up a RCM bar a week or so ago, but none are available at the moment. Is it because of surging sales during the holidays, or what?
Well If i Had the Extra Money I'd At least 10 of The 100 Oz. bar's For a Rainy day Fund.
MY dealer in Australia they buy Chinese silver but I want buy Chinese silver
At 4:02, the silver bar becomes invisible. Top things to avoid when stacking: #1, silver or gold foiled certificates, and #2: silver shot.
Great video
My stacking choices are things that prepare me for “the walking dead”
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” although I believe the best kinds of silver to stack are coins because it’s practical in a state of currency, bars to me are still a good investment but they aren’t as “aesthetically pleasing” to the average person compared to how convenient and attractive a coin is. In the end, you want it to be worth more to the other person. Just my opinion but a true collector would see worth in either one.
