This is going to be more of a tactical video because I want you to learn my thought process when it comes to how and why I pick certain investments for my Roth IRA retirement account.

hi there, thanks for posting. How do I transfer my Roth IRA to M1 finance? Is there a fee?

  4. Jack

M1 finance has terrible/non existent customer service that’s why I switched to a professional brokerage, Fidelity. I can call them at 2:30 am if I have an issue and talk to a real person

Thank you for another great content! I have a question I am in my mid 40s and just opened a new ROTH IRA. This is what I came up with:

    VTI 50%

SCHD 15% (added for dividend purposes)
    VXUS 15%
REITs 10% (custom portfolio with about 1o reits)
    BND 10%

Please let me know what you think of this. Do I need SCHD/REITS? Allocation %? Thank you so much for all your videos!!!

I only have Vtsax and Vnq in my Roth IRA I ise Vnq kind of like a bond At 10% the rest is VTsax

When it’s time to get the money out of the account in 20-30 years, how will you know the time is right? Do you have to time the market for that?

  10. Mind Blown

So let’s say I made a pie with VTI and M1 finance asked me to add at least $500 into my Roth IRA account and I added it all to VTI. What do I do afterwards, so I just let that money sit in my account and do nothing or how do I manage it

Thank you for your video. May I know if I can keep the entire $6000 in my account and just invest $500 per month? Also, any reason why you did not invest everything at once?

Do you recommend investing in dividend ETFs within a roth or brokerage account?

So can I choose a few of the expert pies I like and allocate money to them as I see fit?

Lol. True. Don't care about price. I got 20+ years. I'm confident that I'll get nice returns, even if averages 10%.

  16. Alfredo Guerrero

Im in my early 40s the way I have my Roth IRA is individual stocks, currently I have about 15 different individuals stocks (FAANG probably 50%) and 2 ETFs..I got no problem with the risk, since I still have another 20yrs to retire. My goal is to build my own little S&P (30 stocks) in different sectors. So my question is should I stop doing this? Or just invest all my money in ETFs? Any advice is welcome..

  17. Tien Ho

is there a reason you chose VTI over VOO? ty in advance!

  18. Eric Yost

I'm 23 and going to start a roth ira soon. I can't afford to do $6,000 a year now but can do around $3k. Is it ok to buy fractional shares instead of whole shares? Wouldn't you make more by buying whole shares all the time?

  19. Hannah Gallagher

Would you recommend inviesting fully with the expert pies?? I am 26 starting to save for retirement want to max out 6000 per year for a long term investment and don't plan to touch it for at least 40 years… I don't know if the expert pies will continue to grow over that time or is it best to make my own pie with Vanguard ETFs?? I don't know much about stocks yet! Thanks!
