Good to see you back
I've been out of the loop. Busy renovating my house in Italy and trying to decide what way we go in regard to a business, investing and where to live. We are sitting on the decision right now of just staying put because the entire world is in the shit so, what's the difference. At least Italy had one win with the new government, but I am afraid of how long that can hold out considering the pressure from the bastards at the EU and WEF etc.
It's all happening!
King Charles 111 is ready to take over Europe, I can see it
China is eventually going to dominate the Asia pacific and nothing is going to change that. Scary as it is, in all honestly, it didn’t have to be this way
Somehow, I do believe that the EU, UK and the USA will collapse but NZ and Aus will ultimately end up becoming colonies of the next world rulers at the end of the day, either China or Russia will ultimately call the shots at the end. Without the USA, AUS has no defence against either China or Russia and as long as their is a US support in the nation in government, don’t expect anyone to have mercy for them in all honesty because the future is going to be a dark one for them
Yep lockdowns coming back. Getting out of Aus asap
Having lived in Thailand for a number of years myself, you get absolutely sucked in to defending it, but your a farang and life is cheap there. They'll spend a £million on investigating your death in 'The West.' In Thailand they'll bill your corpse for the ambulance. You are living in a de-facto dictatorship, ruled by a insane monarch. Time to take a break?
Good to see you back, I was a bit worried (thought Soros might have sent some goons your way). I am aussie and have always believed that Thailand was the place to retire. I am 53 and actually had a couple of business (and GF) there (in Krabi) that went under due to Covid so had to go back to Oz and re-group. I have given myself a 5 year plan (from 2021 so 4 years to go) whereby I get back to Thailand as agree that the West is finished (SE Asia is the place to be). I am currently in Sydney and hope your wrong that things don't go pear shaped in 2023 as i need more time but it does not look good. The civil unrest and geo-policitcal looks bad and trending in the wrong direction. However I want to say that the Thais are smart, you should stay there. They are better than Holland when it comes to staying neutral and I love how they have made a whole new industry out of hemp. Typical Thailand, they are amazing at maximising opportunity.
I agree getting out of living in the West is a high priority for those that can leave. The West is in terminal decline and there is no hope that this decline can be halted or reversed.
Where to go to? It is an important question that can only be answered by identifying what is important to you and ranking factors from essential to… "it would be good to have, but I can live happily without it". Etc
While thinking through options I visited around 40 countries, including Central and South America. This part of the world has incredible potential, but has deep seated structure and societal factors that make these countries risky. So your comments about this part of the world are spot-on. Indeed, I would add that endemic violent crime is a major problem and perhaps the main reason I ruled out relocating there. (I.e. Ecuador is the most beautiful country I visited and had a lot of positives. But it was not safe to go out at night and in affluent suburbs all houses I saw had very high walls and barbed wire etc).
I ended up relocating to Turkey and have not regretted this decision. Life is good here, the cost of living low, governments stay out of your day to day life, it is very safe and income tax is not imposed on foreign sourced pension income etc. The people here are also welcoming and friendly – local communities still have high social capital and trust. Indeed, local communities have not been deliberately and systematically atomized and broken – as is the case in the so called West.
So on the basis of my observations and experience I would certainly recommend short listing Turkey for more detailed consideration.
In any case, best of luck with your respective research and relocations. It is still possible on the small planet to find a wonderful and peaceful place to live and thrive.
Where has this beautiful bastard been?
Reminds me of youre early escape australia vids. Nice to see you back on here.
