The Inflation Reduction Act may do very little in the short term to fight inflation. Just like it may do little to end the occasional birth of a frog with 3 eyes. It's a worthwhile bill not because of what it doesn't do, but because of what it DOES do:
– allows Medicare to negotiate drug prices in order to reduce the price of prescription drugs
– extends Medicare benefits
– implements a 15% min tax on corp's with more than $1B profits (many of which paid ZERO fed taxes)
– – invests in initiatives to mitigate the effects of climate change.
Lol so everyone is lying…everyone beside fox correspondants and people that agree with my republican parties extremist base. FoxNews be so hurt to report positive things going on in the country, even when the job expectancy doubled, FoxNews still found a way to make it look negative, they claim to love America so such but are secretly praying America falls and the economy doesn’t get better just to push their political agenda. When corporation don't pay any taxes, why isn't anyone actually asking the obvious question as to why this is? Could it be that they are obeying the vary tax laws and incentives put in place by congress? Is there anyone stupid enough not to realize that any tax increase will be instantly passed on to the consumer of the goods and services these corporations provide? That is the tax that many people that make less than 400K will indeed pay. Manchin is a bold face liar.
