HOW I MADE ~$13K WITHOUT WORKING IN 2022… without a job, real estate, or lifting a finger (except for a few clicks of my mouse)!

Last year, I shared that I socked away $30K in cash to fund my #sabbatical, and I just revealed on my blog how I lived on $27K in 2022 as a #globalnomad. So $30K minus $27K = just $3K left to work with, right? Not exactly.

PASSIVE INCOME ~ I earned $4.9K in dividends, capital gain distributions, and interest in 2022 — by letting my invested money work for me

TAX ADVANTAGING ~ I converted $7.7K in Rollover IRA funds to my Roth IRA, a process which, according to the IRS, creates “earned income.” Now, this isn’t *net new* money, this is money I made in an earlier year that has been in the market, growing. And even though a Roth conversion is a taxable event… I’m in the lowest income bracket so these years are a great time to convert! Now that the ~$13K has been explained…

MENTORING ~ I took on about a dozen paying clients who wanted personalized and dedicated 1:1 time with me to talk through the logistics or emotions of their #sabbaticals, #Mexicotrips or #solotravels. It was so rewarding to be up-close-and-personal with some of your journeys and I was really happy to help!

MY BLOG WAS READER-SUPPORTED ~ I received donations on Venmo/PayPal from my generous readers. THANK YOU SO MUCH for supporting my lifestyle, and valuing the content!
