Uber is one of the most popular ride-hailing services in the world. Every year, Uber releases a tax summary that provides a snapshot of its financial activity. The Uber Tax Summary 2022 is a comprehensive report that provides an overview of Uber’s financial performance in the previous year.

The Uber Tax Summary 2022 reveals that Uber drivers drove a total of 59,235 miles in the past year. This number is up from the previous year, which saw a total of 54,323 miles driven. This increase is likely due to the increased demand for Uber rides over the past year.

The report also reveals that Uber drivers completed 6,179 trips in English in the past year. This number is up from the previous year, which saw a total of 5,637 trips completed. This number is likely due to the increased popularity of Uber rides in English-speaking countries.

The report also reveals that Uber drivers earned a total of $2,092,742 in gross fares from the trips they completed in the past year. This number is up from the previous year, which saw a total of $1,737,832 earned. This increase is likely due to the increased demand for Uber rides over the past year.

Finally, the report reveals that Uber drivers paid a total of $1,093,972 in taxes in the past year. This number is up from the previous year, which saw a total of $924,873 paid in taxes. This increase is likely due to the increased demand for Uber rides over the past year.

The Uber Tax Summary 2022 provides an excellent overview of Uber’s financial performance in the past year. The report reveals that Uber drivers drove more miles, completed more trips, earned more in gross fares, and paid more in taxes in the past year. This data provides valuable insight into the success of Uber’s business model and the popularity of Uber rides.

Answer: False. The Uber Tax Summary 2022 does not reveal that 59,235 miles were driven or that 6,179 completed trips in English were completed.

Uber says Online miles. Not only in trip. Since 2017. Look at your print out. It changed.

  2. Silas Lemus

I try to understand this on my tax form
I drive for uber part time and uber make the 1099 form for 45,000 that included they money i am not make that amount and then show me like some months make 8,000 and i make only 5,000 because i check everything on the app month by month only few months drive more and some not driving at all
The thing is some people don't know and not checked the expense area just get the 1099 form

  3. badass1g

Self employment taxes are horrendously high. If you’re not tracking each and every mile you’re gonna take a major L come tax time. Uber only tracks the miles that someone is in your car. All the other stuff is your responsibility.

  4. Break Necks

Which form need to be file out ?

  5. Break Necks

K how do I file it the correct way on my own does any one know

  6. HEXGameYT

Looked up my tax info , says they’re not issuing a 1099 cause I was under the IRS threshold ? I’m confused , any help would be appreciated thanks

  7. Jim Fisher

When I was doing 7-9 hours per day, my daily miles were about 172 on average.

  8. Jim Fisher

Let’s really take a look, and make sure it’s not more thumb wagging drivel

  9. Filipe Santos

I haven't done that in 2 years working hard , that can't be possible.. I live in UK maybe if I live in US I could do it in 2 years not in a single year. 100% fake

  10. Hugh Gray

Very doable if they are in the NYC market!

  11. noah jones

That my friend is a person who worked 365 days and hit every single bonus. Bravo!

  12. tony Lee

It’s possible, but not likely in 2022. In 2021 for 2 months straight (May and June) , I did UberX and Uber eats every day (quest promotion averaged $500 to $800 M – TH and F – SUN. I made little over $13,000 for each month. And I drove at least 1000 miles each week.
I haven’t Ubered in over a year but I do know quest promotion is nowhere near the 2021 amount. I averaged 190 trips per week to hit the quest promotion.
My car is 2020 Chevy Bolt EV / Los Angeles

  13. Jamun

    False.
You still need to deduct Expenses for mileage you put for picking up riders.
Now deduct tires change its 50k miles more or less?
    Other repairs and maintenance?
Now 3rd one depreciation of your equipment ( car )?
    4. You have to pay yourself as drivers minimum wage per hour.
So IRS is getting not much from me.
But Uber actually took more than 48% of revenue generated by equipment you used for rideshare.

  14. erik

2022 those numbers were possible! 2023 NO FUCKING WAY! I was making $2k a week for March and April! and now $1k is hard 2 do in 40 hrs now! 1 ad on social media for private rides has made me $1,700 cash in 2 weeks. Bye Bye UBER hello private! They even sent me a survey wanting 2 know why I am driving less now!? lol

  15. TS

Uber announced the average wage per hour in our area is $20. Major metroplex. Not an attractive wage, especially considering gas, mileage, etc.

  16. Big C

I do Uber Eats. I remember my miles being way bigger than I was expecting with them last year. I multi app, so I do DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats and Instacart. On the Uber tax summary, it had a large number for miles. It said “online miles.” So every time I made a delivery with say DoorDash, if I was online with Uber but not on a trip, it still counted the miles driven, so it was like over 10,000 miles on Uber alone when in reality it was way less than that.

  17. Tom Saia Sr

It must be huge tips..car must be worn to nub

  18. Peter

You are so right…. I did not make that amount of money at all . Looks like fraud to me.

  19. Justin West

It’s possible. Atlanta driver @ 90k. My gross was higher than his which means Uber screwed me more than this driver.

  20. Ratón 26

Is fake they be adding 10,000 and 12,000 just like Lyft every year since 2018 I had a 1099 that said that I work during a whole month I was on vacation back home. I make every year $50,000 according to my pay stubs they say I made $63,000. Go to the IRS office and make an appointment they will write a letter to them they be doing this to every driver every year is like they are trying to make the driver pay for their taxes.

  21. Malcome Smiith

The numbers are correct. Uber took a 1/3. This driver works hard, and is consistent. What city, and which platform?

  22. Ride with Han

I'm not even close. I know for a fact that is false. No way someone get that amount anymore. That's a straight out lie from uber. I average $1000 a week after expense. 5 to 6 days of earnings

  23. Mikhail Vershinin

The mileage is absolutely inaccurate I count my own miles and it’s almost always double what uber says it is.

  24. Vitalii

I had similar numbers in Bay area when we have nonstop promos $500 for 120 rides t back in 2017-2018 , after I paid crazy taxes that year I realized it's not with it

  25. SB Rides 805

    False …. Too many rides….

  26. The Solo Expat

    Or just don’t pay taxes

  27. Mystic Ranger

Uber counts the fee they takeout and other money they make as your gross when you dont make that? 94k should you your actual gross income if the number is true. about which half should be taxed after mileage. I use Stride app to keep track of my mileage and payout, and only count what is paid out to me, not ubers fee and such as that is Ubers money, not what i make as an independent contractor, versus if i was an employee but then it weould be mostlyu taxes and insurance deducations etc. They can tax what I actually get paid out, not paying taxes on gross from uber independent contractor, but what uber calls net and than mileage. my actual gross is what gets in my bank in total is no tax is taken out until i do taxes or make early payments to irs, and deduct mileage.

BTW what company do you reccomend to help you do your taxes if your both a uber driver and a normal employee worker with w2? or should i go to cheaper smaller tax people?

  28. kenneth mosley

    Possible in the Chicago market

  29. IZ YK

Professor, are you asking if this is doable or accurate as reported? I am seeing a lot of comment about this is doable and I think none would dispute that obviously a lot of driver in big city like new York including my friend who does this for living make 120 Kwith net earnings (not calculated by tax professional or a report from his bank) averaging 80K per year. But after examining his bank account compared to that of Uber there was a gap of 15K in net earnings. Just be careful with these numbers it may flatter your ego to finally leave you in wrong tax bracket.

  30. jiri maly

Fake , I can show my …. over 15500 rides very experience driver,
Tax Summary UBER 2022 Tampa Bay Area / St.Petersburg Florida

    Completed trips 6148

    Gross income $ 133,575.71

    Uber fees $ 60,178.59

    Net earnings $ 73,397.12

  31. Dubs Dubs

I use the trip odometer and write each days mileage on a calendar on a clipboard, and gasoline… Mileage starts when I pull out of the carport and ends when I back in…If I'm not working I don't leave the house !

  32. Eddie Taylor

Yeah, that's not possible in CLT. May be fake but they can't be driving Uber X
