On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, President Joe Biden delivered his first State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress. The speech was delivered at the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., and was broadcasted live on major news networks.

The speech focused on the challenges facing the nation, the progress made in the first 100 days of the Biden Administration, and the President’s vision for the future. President Biden began his address by thanking the American people for their support and resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. He then outlined his plans to rebuild the economy, create jobs, and ensure that everyone in the country has access to healthcare.

The President also spoke about the need for unity and bipartisanship. He called for an end to the “uncivil war” in the United States, and stressed the importance of working together to address the nation’s challenges. He also spoke about the need to address systemic racism and police brutality, as well as the need to invest in infrastructure and clean energy.

The speech concluded with a call to action. President Biden urged Congress to pass legislation to help the American people and to “build back better”. He also emphasized the importance of hope and unity in moving the country forward.

One of the lowest ratings ever for a SOTU address. Apparently people didn't want to waste time listening to Biden trying to sound coherent.

See how civil we can be as a country. Let’s not be hateful! Did Trump ever give love to the dems during sotu speeches?

Anyone else notice that this is the first time we have ever seen a State of the Union without the presidential seal? It literally is supposed to be up. Why isn't it?

This was hard to watch. I now feel like woman shouldnt be able to run for office it seems like ever since they have these things looks more like a mad house, too many high emotions, disrespect. A woman also knows how to manipulate and get men to also act like fools. If the president is saying something that helps the ones living in the United States thats sick or elder or taxes why the Republicans arent clapping I take it they disagree or if Republican starts to clap and look around dont see other Republicans clapping they immediately stop like what in the world is going on are these people really about helping all or is it really only about parties, power and ones who rich only agree to being rich and staying rich not give a rats a** about anyone else. Majority of the ones in office is old and elderly how do they not have a care for others in the world

Interesting that every time Biden talked about the strength of the people and the country Kevin Mc Cathy sat still on his butt and closed his eyes. He and the other monkeys on the right, did not applaude for the people, the country, nor the democracy.

  27. James Maxwell

I have one question to ask, how did they feel about social security and Medicare before they enter in to politics, playing with people lives

HIV/AIDS was a disease that was “sudden” in its onset. Cancer has been around forever. So HIV/AIDS medicine was a challenge that has been mostly met. Cancer is a disease that has been a money-maker for years for pharma and the oncology industry. I am hopeful that one day cancer will be eradicated, but first we have to take away the profit factor that keeps its cure on the far horizon.
