    Been using Short Term TIPS. Still get inflation protection but less interest rate risk…..less interest also but since interest rates are very low, not much lost.

    man tips is the way to go

    it's especially advantageous the larger amount you have sitting there, where the best the banks can give is 1% (maybe more for some credit unions)

    The withdrawal charge is constant, about $45…but that's pittance compared to the yield you would get with a large investment!
