“The Benevolent Gentleman”

Ambitious young New Yorker Beth (Alexis Bledel) wants it all: a good job, good friends and a good guy to share the city with. Of course that last one is trickiest of all, as Beth discovers when she falls hard for Tommy (Scott Porter), a handsome, young Wall Street hotshot. Just as everything seems to be falling into place, Beth meets Tommy’s shy, clumsy co-worker Daniel (Bryan Greenberg) — and soon learns that the game of love in the big city is a lot like Wall Street — high risk, high reward … and everybody has an angle….(read more)

The Good Guy: A Key Player in Society

In today’s society, the term “good guy” often refers to someone who is kind, compassionate, honest, and reliable. This type of person is often someone who quietly works behind the scenes, giving of their time and energy to help others. The good guy is a key player in society, as they perform critical roles that contribute to the well-being of others.

One of the essential roles of the good guy is that of a caregiver. They might provide assistance to the elderly, the sick, or the disabled. They might mentor children or volunteer at a charity. Whatever the case may be, the good guy is the one who steps up when someone needs help. They do so with humility and without expecting anything in return.

Another role of the good guy is that of a leader. While not always in charge, the good guy leads by example. They show others how to treat people with respect and dignity, how to be kind and generous, and how to take responsibility for one’s actions. They inspire others to follow their lead and create a positive impact in the world.

The good guy is also a supporter. They encourage others to pursue their goals and dreams, offering guidance and advice along the way. They celebrate their successes and offer words of encouragement during setbacks. The good guy helps people believe in themselves and motivates them to keep moving forward.

Finally, the good guy is someone who gives of themselves without reservation. They donate their time, money, and energy to causes they believe in. They do so not because they seek recognition or reward, but because they genuinely care about making a difference. The good guy is someone who understands the vital importance of giving back to society.

In conclusion, the good guy is a vital player in society. They perform critical roles that contribute to the well-being of others, whether it be as a caregiver, leader, supporter, or philanthropist. They inspire us to be better people and to create a more compassionate world. The good guy may often go unnoticed, but their impact is immeasurable. We should all strive to be a little more like the good guy in our daily lives.

Boy, what a wasted existence. I've known a few guys like that and sadly, some women eagerly let themselves be snowed by their B.S. A friend who was a woman let one of these lizards take her on a wild ride for a whole year. I warned her, but of course she didn't listen. He stole her innocence and trust and left her holding an empty bag. So she took up with another friend who on the carisima scale was a minus 1. But he made huge amounts of money and was very controlling. Out of one fire and into another. Glad I'm not a woman and have to choose one of these "Good Men".

This movie came on by accident, and I left it because I am a nerd Gilmore Girls fan, and Alexis Bledel is in it. While this is guys talking about women, it goes both ways.

"it's kind of sad if you think about it. Those guys spend all their time looking for something they are never going to find"

    "what, for the perfect woman?"

    "there is no such thing"

"so you have never been tempted, huh?"

"of course I've been tempted, but I can go home at night and look at my wife and my kids in the eye and not feel like a total fraud. To me, that is a good trade."
