In recent years, the term “woke millionaire” has become increasingly popular in the media. These are wealthy individuals who speak out about social justice issues and advocate for progressive policies such as higher taxes on the wealthy. However, it seems that some of these “woke” millionaires are not practicing what they preach.

While they may demand that the government “tax the rich,” many of these wealthy individuals are not voluntarily paying their fair share to the IRS. This hypocrisy is problematic not only because it undermines their advocacy for progressive policies, but also because it contributes to the very wealth inequality that they claim to oppose.

One example of this hypocrisy is demonstrated by the financial habits of famous billionaire Elon Musk. While Musk has been outspoken about his support for progressive policies and higher taxes on the wealthy, recent reports have shown that he has not paid federal income taxes in years. In fact, Musk reportedly paid no federal income taxes in 2018, and his total taxes paid in the years preceding that were significantly lower than what would be expected for someone of his wealth.

Musk’s story is just one example of a larger trend among the wealthy who promote progressive policies. While these individuals may claim to support higher taxes on the wealthy, they often find ways to avoid paying their fair share. This is not only morally dubious, but it also contributes to a system of inequality that disproportionately affects those who are less well off.

Of course, it’s important to note that not all wealthy individuals fall into this category of hypocrisy. There are plenty of millionaires and billionaires who do pay their fair share or even actively support progressive taxation policies. However, the fact remains that many of those who speak the loudest about these issues are not always practicing what they preach.

So, what can be done about this? For one, it’s important to call out this hypocrisy whenever we see it. Wealthy individuals should be held accountable for their financial habits, especially when those habits contradict their public statements on progressive policies.

Additionally, we need to continue pushing for more progressive taxation policies that ensure that the wealthy are paying their fair share. This includes closing loopholes that allow wealthy individuals and corporations to avoid taxes, as well as increasing the top marginal tax rate.

In conclusion, it’s clear that there are plenty of “woke” millionaires out there who demand higher taxes on the wealthy, but are not practicing what they preach. This hypocrisy needs to be called out and held accountable, especially as we continue the push for more progressive tax policies.

Nobody is denying their ability to pay more in taxes.

These idiots are very stupid and cringey.
The real answer is Private Charity! People are generally, GENERALLY charitable! But when middle class and wealthy are cinstantly taxed to death, being charitable, making voluntary contributions, becomes more than impossible!

IF THE RICH WANT TO PAY MORE TAXES, THAN PULL OUT YOUR CHECK BOOK AND WRITE THE US TREASURY A CHECK, BUT THESE BIGOT, HYPOCRITES WOULD NEVER DO THAT……..???????

  5. RadioShack 1568

IT'S CONGRESS AND THE SENATES FAULT THAT THE RICH ARE NOT PAYING HIGHER TAXES, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS MADE IT EASY FOR THE RICH TO GET THE TAX LOOP HOLES AND PAY LESS THAN THE EVERYDAY CITIZEN THAT CAN'T AFFORD THE LAWYERS AND ACCOUNTANTS TO GET THEIR TAXES LOWERED. IT A BIG SHAM GAME WHERE THE RICH GET OFF ALL THE TIME AND THE LITTLE GUY GETS SCREWED 100% OF THE TIME… WE NEED TERM LIMITS TO SCARE THESE COMMIES INTO SUBMISSION…

  6. Michelle A

The rich don’t get taxed their share. There hire attorneys to avoid that. It’s called Estate planning.

Incredible. As soon as they're faced with the reality of actually giving up their unnecessarily vast quantities of wealth, they all scurry away like cockroaches.

No bank should be propped up by any Government, but this Government has to as its one of there donors? maybe.

How else does Biden expect to continue to keep Zelensky on the payroll? Also, it's pretty telling that AOC went from being a bartender with thousands and thousands in student loan debt, no liquidity, no inheritance, etc but is now a multi-millionaire. Except, hmmm, she doesn't have a successful side business that has made her wealth, she isn't being paid a hefty salary as a host or co-host on a network. What she is doing and has only done for the past few years is work as a public servant for our government which pays a small salary and is meant to promote and endorse politicians that have the patriotic desire to keep our country great and not just a position that's been dwindled to a monetary value that's to be made with advantages that come from having inside knowledge limited to the public. I know it's not limited to just AOC and every politician should be held accountable but AOC is a perfect example because her recent change of employment and change in net worth occurred immediately but it's known what her situation was before being elected and we know what her salary is and anyone with common sense can understand that it doesn't add up and is impossible to have made millions off her minimal salary. So, exactly where and how was this wealth amassed? I'd bet my left teet she wouldn't voluntarily provide her tax documents for the past 7 years as she demanded and demonized Trump to do and do with a smile on his face and anything less she wanted him impeached. The left with forever be on the side of hypocrisy.

They are masochists or something, they don't want to voluntarily pay more, they "want" to be forced to pay more which will include everyone because there is no such thing as taxes for an specific group, everyone is under the same umbrella.

  14. Shaun Zuber

Detached rich liberals… No f'ng clue as to how they are f*cking over the middle class! Lol

"I'll pay some tax on my salary. . . . . . . .which is 1% of my total income. And if you rig the system to crush my competitors and make sure I keep getting richer".

  16. Thundersub

The biggest thing I hate with liberals/woke people is the freaking hypocrisy. If they actually did what they say you could respect that.

  17. KT

If the Disney heiress was so concerned about the middle class, then they wouldn't make it so difficult for an average family to travel to Orlando for a once in a lifetime vacation! My daughters are pushing the teenager years soon and we have never taken them, partially because of COVID but mostly cause the amount that we would spend just for like 4 days!

"TAX THE RICH" Slogan to the ignorant as they view it as a positive statement People need to undertand this means Employee Tax a automatic deduction before you even get your pay check. As the other taxes are, small business tax, Corporate tax and Capital gains tax. Both State and Fedral so "Tax the Rich" is only a Slogan to increase your taxes, and not the wealthy peoples taxes who do not have automatic deductions like you but they do have accountants and lawyers and their many loop holes besides , subsidization and corporate wealfare.
And what this group Here is doing is trying to do is sell this Bill to get passed either with knowlege or without knowlege that no one will read anyways because its so big.

Tax the Rich is a slogan used for raising you'r taxes.

WatchIng people clap and cheer when a politician says "Tax the Rich" Beacause they assume it means Billionairs and Corporations. How many politicians were Elected with this Slogan in the past 40 years, know ask yourself did they Tax the Rich?

  23. ruben cirilo

They sound like liars they not going to pay taxes like we do they are so full of crap

  24. kingschill23

They're most likely all already retired and won't be paying the said taxes people still working do, also they probably plan on being dead or not in the need of the money anymore by the time the legislation were to actually become something. There's almost always a reason for ppl like this promoting something, they have a plan to either avoid it or make money off of it

Problem is they want to redistribute the money to the government which will then spend 5 million on tampons in 1st-5th grade boys bathrooms. It will just be wasted

  29. Brad Cruise

Why the hell did I owe money this year? I claim zero exemptions/dependants. I pay the full amount possible. But for some reason I ow d this year. Biden definitely increased tax on people under 300,000

  30. Saigyl

tax the rich in a way that they can write off the increased tax

  31. Stephen P

Why would you want to pay more taxes… just give out money to charity, local schools, and push hard into small businesses.

  32. Warrior

They put hands on him. That should never happen.

  33. Warrior

I do agree tax day is unfair. Stop taking my money and giving it away to others.

  34. Carl Hess

Ahhh love the videos shilling for billionaires. Look at the tax rates of wealthy people in the 40’s and 50’s and get back to me. You’re a moron sometimes

Took two different stories and combined them to discredit the idea wealthy people should pay more taxes. Amazing

  35. Blacksoul

Taxing the rich means higher product price

  36. Freda Rounthwaite

I could have guaranteed that they would not sign those papers. How do people think they became milloonaires in the first place? Not by giving their money to the taxman, that's for sure. They can afford very expensive tax lawyers who bend and twist every rule to get them out of having to pay taxes. The middle class can't afford those lawyers, that's for sure. What hypocrites these millionaires are!

  37. Youtube Sucks

The top 1% pay over 80% of taxes as is. The top 20% pay 94% of taxes. The other 80% pay only 6% of taxes.
