    Thanks a lot !!! however I do have a question, right now I’m currently putting 2% into both but I’m looking to increase it to put 10-20 % (total). do you think it’s wise to just stick to splitting it evenly? or should I put more into the 401(k)?

    Btw I work for a state agency in NY. So we don’t get matched since pension is provided.

    One big advantage to the 401k is that it is protected from Bankruptcy and Lawsuits.

    Your channel is so helpful, new subscriber here! I finally started my 457b up again at my new City. I used to work for a County with a 4% match and although my new job has a higher salary, there is no match. I have my old 457b plan there still but need to figure out the rollover. I think rolling over to my new 457b is best since I can access funds penalty free before 59.5. I am hoping to retire before that so I think that's my best bet! I just wish there wasn't so much paperwork for government retirement plans.
