I’m actually surprised this wasn’t already stated. The whole premise of consolidating loans means you lost all government ties.
Most consolidated to lower payments, knowing that it removed the potential for forgiveness, but because they’ve been talking about loan forgiveness for decades and nothing happened, no one believed it.
Now everyone is going to be in yet another uproar.
