Fellow Marine here… working for our VA now. When I change my TSP % I can’t figure out when in takes effect. It seems it took like 2 weeks to change in my paychecks.

Hey so I heard you mentioned on one of your videos your TSP acts as a cash reserve or down payment for when you want to qualify for a loan ? Like FHA or something could you electorate more on the perks of building a large sum amount. (Like your friend E-5 who bought that million dollar multi unit) by accumulating money and gambling,
I’m going to join coast guard after I graduate highschool, should I max out my tsp my first couple years? I’m already frugal and don’t want a fancy lifestyle.
