Thank you for these great videos! It’s May 2022 now, have you made that Disneyland trip you talk about in this video?

  2. David James

I wouldn't consider you an "average Joe" just because you name is Joe. An average person doesn't make a bunch of YT videos and seem obsessed with retiring early. I am retired early and I do NOT use dividend stocks, nor do I use any of your techniques. I have my own system and methods that work well for me.

  3. John Quinlan

Just curious and for my understanding…why don't you invest in growth and transition balance to dividends once you start your trip?

  4. Roger Hoffstetter

I subscribed. Thank you for sharing. I’ve been investing into my 401k, thanks for the insight. I just started dividend investing 6 month ago. So I’m on my way. I understand that it’s takes time.

Hi Joe, let me ask you yet another "getting started" type question. I know you can't give financial advice, etc. But as I look at the stocks in your portfolio, one thing that jumps out is they are very unevenly weighted. My question is, did you start them out that way, saying "I'm only going to put 2% into this stock because reasons, while I put 8% into that one," or did you just say "I'll put 5% into each of these 20" and the difference is now the result of dividends and appreciation. As I look back thru your recent updates, you seem to be MOSTLY dividing the money among the stocks fairly equally with a lower percentage in QYLD etc.; except in your July 9 update, where the allocation was very uneven. I would be really interested in hearing your philosophy on this. Thanks and blessings!

thanks for the content – I subscribed! Your blurred item got uncovered at 10:40….

Why so little into QYLD and RYLD? I don't know, maybe I'm a sucker, but those make up the largest percentage of mine. But I just want the income more than the growth.

Good work! Happy for you! Keep on keeping on!

Nice concept in your Roth IRA. Im 26 and my roth is my first investment. I have 25% FSMDX, % FSSNX, 25% SCHX and 25%VUG. Im thinking to add FZROX and equilibrate each stock to 20%, what you think?

Hello Joe. Great video. One question. What type of account you opened at fidelity for the Disneyland fund?

  11. Jim Hallberg

Hello, I also have a fidelity account through work, How do you change your SPAXX % of account? This was set up a long time ago and I don't know how to change % weighted of the portfolio. Thanks

  12. James Brown

I am new to this. To my knowledge you can contribute a total of $6000 yearly to your Roth and around $19k to your 401k through your employer. How is everyone contributing so much? I would love to put more in my Roth because I feel it has the opportunity to perform better, plus my employer doesn't match anyway. Can someone explain how I can invest more? Thanks.

  13. Brian Lee

Glad to see that you finally see the light. QYLD is great for cash flows, no need to hate on it. It has a place in a diversified investment strategy.

Subscribed! I’m a landlord starting my dividend journey.

Thanks for sharing Joe! I would love a video on where you were when you started investing. You are inspirational.

  16. Jz

really good video.,…thank you for the enlightment.

  17. Jeannette Drown

Great video, Joe! I take a lot of your advice and it's really paid off. For your dividend portfolio, disneyland, and emergency funds, are they all in separate taxable brokerage accounts with Fidelity? I'd also be interested in your back story- I think you referred to it as your origin story. I'm a huge fan!

  18. Your safe space is not safe

New investor here, just recently opened a Fidelity account and I like and interested in your different accounts. Do you have multiple brokerage accounts under the same user?

  19. Eric Platts

Yes I love it I had 0 too

Great job Joe! I wished I would've started earlier, but am so glad I have a small nest egg that is continuing to grow. Start early and invest often, even if its not much. Time is the most valuable asset we have. I have my teenage sons also watching your channel so they can create and build their financial empires.

  23. Te Kooti Tom Anderson

Thanks Joe. Your strategy was more to interesting to me (then the $ amounts) and how you operate your investments.

  24. Richard webster

Love the honesty. Great video. Ty Joe

  25. Carlin

I was also thinking of putting my emergency fund into the market…. thanks for sharing your process on this and where you have it parked!

  26. Julie Powell

    Joe, just awesome…. Thank you

  27. William O.

You're missing some good Closed End Funds.

  28. The MoneyDot Channel

Can't wait to get where you are at. I put 10% in my 401K/Roth when I get paid, which I don't really watch. Then I put $400/paycheck in a dividend portfolio. They say the first $100K is the hardest.
