He must regret this press conference so much lol, he was clearly in an emotional state and probably not thinking straight. As soon as the media got a whiff of this, they fully ran with the whole idea of him retiring.

  4. LGal72

Wtf? So what is he doing trying to make a come back? Why don’t you just stay at home Murray? Mommy Judy would love having you all to herself

  5. Ishan Agrawal

2 years laters back at wimbledon again and beat world no. 28 :0000

  6. Ivancevic Aleksandar

Competitors should refuse to participate in press conferences, immediately after matches; I'm fan of Andy Murray

  7. Charlie Boy

If Novak hadn't existed Murray would've won all 4 Grand Slams lol
Probably all 4 & a gold medal in the same year. He was that Talented.

  8. Zehra Ahmed

And he is here yet again. I will forever love this guy

  9. Vincent Hannah

I really felt bad for Andy. Made me want to cry. But I am glad he is still trying to come back.

Andy Murray// should go on retirement, / he is a useless player and a Squealer, He even argues with the camera// a cry baby, and not a sportsman, he was just lucky with a couple of wins. and he is NO match for the elite players, Nadal, Djokovic, Federer, even Nishi

  11. Jason

  14. Scott H1990

Wimbledon was his main aim being a brit and he done it twice! Also won two golds for his country and a Davis Cup ! He’s achieved more than he ever thought imaginable.

  15. Winters

He is already down, still you guys are asking "Andy, is this your last tournament" sick?

  16. Solo

I've always liked and admired Andy a true champion and wonderful competitor certainly wore his heart on his sleeve.Sad to go out like this if this is the likely case 🙂

  18. Petr Slivinski

An incredible champion with integrity. Best wishes to you. Thanks for many years of watching you and winning majors. Cheers Andy!

Andy Murray was a huge threat to win a Major each year…That is a big compliment considering the era of players he had to deal with (Federer/Nadal/Djokovic)…Murray was a brilliant tennis player who worked very hard and wore his emotions on his sleeve..He was VERY competitive…He was absolutely in the zone while winning his 3 Majors…His talent during the US Open and Wimbledon were very exciting to watch..Probably 1 of the best defensive players in history…Even if you dislike Andy you have to give him his due for the great career he had…Was unfortunate to have to face some of the best Tennis players in the history of the sport during his career…Andy held his own that is for sure

Feel for Murray..I am from Brasil and our best player ever (Gustavo Kuerten) had to stop playing due to a serious hip problem and former swedish player Magnus Norman had that problem as well..I hope Andy does another operation and see how it goes..

  21. Martin Brady

Only 31. He could take an extended hiatus, have the necessary surgery, rehab, then see where he's at. Unfortunate, but tennis is a demanding game. Constant stress on the body.

  22. Martin Brady

Surprised Andy didn't already go through the teary-eyed stage. F*** the tennis press. They are parasites.

  23. Rainer Rüdiger von Winkelmett

He and Robin Söderling didn't deserve THIS end, I am shocked to see this heartbreaking press conference

  24. Napoleon the 14th

Don't know what i'll miss most, his effortless charm, effervescent personality or radiant, light up a room smile.

  25. Aisha Lady

All my respect for you, Andy! You gave everything for this sport! Wishing you all the best!

  26. Simon Ho

Andy, you are a great champion and wishing you all the best for your future pursuits. Thank you for bringing so much to the game of tennis and brought pride back to British Men's Tennis. I love your game and you will always be remembered as one of the best who has ever played the game.

  27. Sid

    Andy please don't retire …
Rafa, Joko, Fed needs player like you to defeat them … How the rivalry going to be continue without you … Andy.
You still have a lot in you … Love you Andy …
I love the fighting spirit and never say die attitude on the tennis court … You the best tennis player.
    You are champ Andy.

  28. Николай Марков

Сегодня узнал об этом. Очень жаль конечно. Буду скучать по играм Федерер- Маррей. Не знаю как перенесу уход Федерера… Великого.

  29. Elizabeth Quigley

We are with you Andy. All the way.

  30. Dharmaboy

    Crushing news.

  31. JustFun

I hope that when he finished his last match, roger, rafa and nole step on the court at the same time and give andy the respect he deserves. Imagine how epic that would be.

  32. Scott Robbins

wow it's just amazing these comments on YouTube regarding Murray's retirement. everyone has their day in the Sun, Murray is a millionaire, still very young, and has his whole life ahead of him and he never has to work another day in his life. it's hard for me to feel sorry for a guy like this

  33. Brain

who. cares , now we wont have to look at his miserable face

  34. Dwayne H

It’s to bad , he is a great player

  35. Basra

I do feel sorry for him as a grand slam and Wimbledon champion and Olympic champion, he is one of the great tennis players ever and he’s represented GB etc , good luck to him, it must be so sad to leave the sport but injuries have stopped great champions, but come on I feel more sorry for a guy that’s lost his job, wife and family, and may have to live on the streets, or someone like Michael Schumacher who is bedridden or someone who has devoted their life to sport or another and now paralysed forever, this guy has got millions and no mortgage or debts to clear, it will be difficult for him in his head but he has made himself a multi millionaire and will no doubt make good money on TV and the media and live a nice life

  36. satyu

If a double Olympic champion says the pain is too much for him, I think it must be truly excruciating pain. These guys never complain about injuries even if it's somewhat bearable. This is very sad, to retire at 31 in an era where people don't think about retirement till say 35.

  37. Lalitha Ravindran

Terribly sorry Andy. I hope you have a normal healthy life even if you don’t play competitive tennis. Heartbroken.

  38. LIV Golf

damn.. 1:101:40 somehow hit me so hard although I was never a big fan of Murray. This is just sad to see that such a great athlete gets destroyed by stupid injuries.

  39. Kenneth Lim

    Gotta feel for him….good bloke
