BAKALIA, 14 September’2021: The All Karbi Anglong District Anganwadi Workers Associations (AKADAWA) general secretary Nebadita Bora called a press meet on Monday.

In the press meet, Nebadita Bora stated that the All Karbi Anglong District Anganwadi Workers Associations get together and submitted a memorandum to the KAAC ICDS EM and Principal Secretary.

As mentioned in the memorandum, their demands includes supply of food should be replaced with cheque inorder to provide better nutritious food on time, area money of the year 2014, 2019 & 2020 should pay immediately, centres for the Anganwadi workers and the better drinking water facility should be provided.

It added, Anganwadi workers should be promoted to next eligible post while the workers have to promote to supervisor and helper to workers and Anganwadi workers should get their pension after their retirement with an amount of Rs. 5lacs.

With the above mentioned points, the All Karbi Anglong District Anganwadi Workers Association hoped that their demands will be fulfilled within a short time. They also requested Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) and state government to look into the matter seriously….(read more)
