FBI WARNING – Cyberattacks in the United States

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued a warning about the increasing number of cyberattacks targeting organizations and individuals in the United States. The agency has reported a surge in ransomware attacks, data breaches, and other malicious activities that have resulted in significant financial and reputational damages.

One of the most concerning developments is the rise of ransomware attacks, where cybercriminals encrypt the victim’s data and demand a ransom in exchange for the decryption key. These attacks have targeted a wide range of organizations, including hospitals, schools, and government agencies, disrupting essential services and causing immense disruption.

In addition to ransomware attacks, the FBI has also observed an increase in sophisticated data breaches, where hackers gain unauthorized access to sensitive information, such as personal and financial data. These breaches can be particularly damaging, leading to identity theft, financial fraud, and other forms of cybercrime.

The FBI has identified a variety of tactics used by cybercriminals to carry out these attacks, including phishing emails, exploiting software vulnerabilities, and targeting remote work environments. It is crucial for organizations and individuals to remain vigilant and take proactive measures to protect themselves from these threats.

The FBI has urged organizations to implement robust cybersecurity measures, such as regularly updating software, using strong, unique passwords, and conducting regular cybersecurity training for employees. Additionally, the agency has recommended the use of multi-factor authentication and encryption to further safeguard against potential cyber threats.

Individuals are also encouraged to take steps to enhance their cybersecurity, such as being cautious about clicking on links or downloading attachments from unknown sources, using reputable antivirus software, and regularly backing up their data.

The FBI’s warning about the increasing prevalence of cyberattacks in the United States serves as a stark reminder of the ever-evolving nature of cyber threats. It is essential for organizations and individuals to remain proactive and continue to invest in robust cybersecurity measures to protect against these increasingly sophisticated attacks. By staying informed and implementing best practices, we can work together to mitigate the impact of cyber threats and safeguard our digital assets.

Word of advice. The easiest way to thwart a hackers plan is to have multi-factor authentication. A Russian tried hacking my steam, got multiple emails about login attempts with the code. Russian guy did not have my email though so I just changed my password and all common passwords, since I kinda have a system. Not all are the same, its less secure to have any matching, but im lazy

The real scary thing is that it doesn’t even have to be an attack on the infrastructure on our power grid . It is so old and non-reliable that it could go down on its own because the parts are wearing out and again where do we get the majority of the big parts from China.

I’ve been a networking engineer for 20 some years worked for data security company malware bites is the best for male wear and pop-ups highly recommended. We even use it on our business computers.

If your using a "Free" Malware/ Spyware/ Virus program and "Think" your protected, you obviously don't know how each one of these works. With the free versions of any of those programs they "Allow" said spyware/ virus/ trojan in first to your computer, either to do 2 of 2 things, either infect the OS (Windows) which becomes either useless or wonky, or 2 infect a command file aka EXE that you either click on that installs said Virus or trojan, or executes when you reboot. Either way, your not going to know until after you reboot the computer at some time. Now you have to "Hopefully" rely on that program to remove said virus/ malware/ trojan horse which in most times doesn't fix the issue meaning in a total re-install of your OS and every program you had installed because files become corrupted. I worked in this field both in the military and in the civilian world with IT tech companies for a combination of nearly 35 years. If you want a free program that works great at the home computer level, get a program called "Forticlient". When I was a civilian with contracts with the Canadian Government, I installed this program both on Government computers, but also on lower level "community" government computers. What "Forticlient does is "STOP" anything from coming into the computer as its base firewall protection. And that is how you protect your computer, or any computer.

Anti malware and Anti virus software won't protect you. Common sense will.
Best practice: Stay offline, and only connect when needed. Keep Software up to date and patched.
Even better, Don't use Micro$oft Windows. Just switch to Linux / Unix and run Windows in a VM for all the software that depends on it.

Hey, Doc, can you put it in the description? Ive just heard about cyber attacks in comments on channels scamming people.

  7. @keithkvittum5099

In your opinion! Why would we advertise "long week of strikes" is Biden warning our enemies to hide there weapons. Give the enemies a heads so they can get there defensive stuff together

    The Government are talking bullshit…
Most hacks are either something that's put in the system and later activated on a timer or instruction… or an individual has to physically sit at a computer and deploy the cyber attack.
So in reality unless you have access to that timer ( ie its you that put it there) or you know the hacker.. there is no way atall for the FBI to have any idea whatsoever if or when someone is gonna push that button. Predicting a hack… is like predicting a bank robbery… the only way you know its coming is if youre the person doing it.

Edit : Back doors are in ALL systems.. EVERYTHING. if someone who knows what theyre doing and wants to get into your pc.. or your car.. or even your house security system… you cant stop them.
The USA said a decade ago that they knew hackers have access to their systems.. but did a cyber attack happen.. no.
Even if a hacker put something in your system and you know its there.. there is still no way of knowing IF or when it will be activated.. and its not like any timer or instruction is a physical timer or code they can read. Anyone who believes that the FBI can 'predict' a cyber attack is coming, doesnt understand how computers work.

LOL! Naomi knows it all! I've heard you in a few videos say, "Naomi…" My husband calls me Snerdly (sp?) (Rush Limbaugh's right hand man) "Snerdly, look that up!" Naomi is that person for you. 🙂 Great video. Thank you!

PRISONS are going to be bad deal in grid down. They will have an emergency generator on the roof or something, but when that fuel is gone, ALL of those locks come undone.

  11. @mattberden9326

Anybody remember the great American blackout of 2003?

  12. @sumarshall7719

And I think it's the FBI that will be doing most of the cyber attacks and blame it on other countries. Just like their infiltration on J6, in some of the hearings now they say there could of been hundreds of FBI plants. They start putting out warnings before they start their crap show,

  13. @EmergencyPrepping

Our government is going to do the cyber attacks against us. Why else would the FBI director keep telling us but not coming up with solutions. They want to keep telling us and use China as their boogeyman. Not saying China isn’t hacking but I don’t trust any of these clowns especially during this insane election year. These people are scared they are going to be exposed

Woohoo! This is how they tell me is $7 at audible! I’m a member though, not sure if you have to be
