In this video I talk about my $2,000 contribution into my Roth IRA. I also discuss how I will be handling the next $4,000 investment. I know this video is a bit redundant to prior content but $6,000 is still a lot of money for me to invest so once that has been invested, more diverse content will come out!     I did a very similar vanguard portfolio in a non ira a little over a year ago because the interest rates are terrible and it's part of my emergency fund account combined with a monthly CD ladder and checking and savings account from the same bank.

    Hey I watched the video on you saying that you want to buy a house. I would recommend reading rich dad poor dad if you haven’t already. I’m not sure if you plan on renting out the house or flipping it but I wouldn’t buy a house right now. Housing marketing is at its peak and is going to get a correction.

    I was under the impression that you pay taxes now with a Roth and that's why it grows "tax free" where as a traditional IRA you defer to pay taxes later.
