Can New Yorkers on Wall Street Answer My Investment Questions?
When it comes to making investments, it is only natural to seek advice from professionals who are experts in the field. And if you happen to be in New York City, you might be fortunate enough to have access to Wall Street, known as the financial capital of the world. It is home to some of the brightest minds in finance and boasts a rich history of investment expertise.
Wall Street has become synonymous with the world of finance, and for a good reason. It houses prominent financial institutions, such as banks, stock exchanges, and investment firms. The individuals working on Wall Street are often highly skilled professionals who possess in-depth knowledge of market trends and investment strategies.
If you find yourself with a plethora of investment-related questions, turning to New Yorkers on Wall Street might seem like a plausible choice. After all, who better to consult than those immersed in the heart of the financial industry? While it can be tempting to view them as the ultimate source of investment wisdom, it is essential to consider a few factors.
Firstly, it is crucial to remember that Wall Street professionals are individuals with their own respective areas of expertise. Some may specialize in analyzing stocks, others in managing portfolios, and others still in derivatives or commodities. Therefore, it is important to understand the particular field in which they excel and their level of proficiency in answering your specific questions.
Secondly, it is necessary to consider that Wall Street professionals are primarily focused on serving their clients and ensuring profitable investments. While they may offer valuable insights and guidance, their ultimate goal remains making money. Therefore, it is important for investors to maintain an independent perspective and conduct their own research before making any decisions.
Furthermore, it is important to recognize that individuals on Wall Street are not infallible. They are subject to the same market volatility and uncertainty as any other investor. Financial markets are inherently complex and influenced by numerous variables, making it impossible for anyone to accurately predict their future progression.
Therefore, while New Yorkers on Wall Street can offer valuable advice and insights into investment opportunities, they are not invincible or all-knowing. Every investment comes with a degree of risk, and it is the responsibility of individual investors to carefully assess their own risk tolerance and make decisions accordingly.
In conclusion, seeking advice from New Yorkers on Wall Street can be beneficial, given their expertise and experience in the financial industry. However, it is essential to keep in mind that they are individuals with their own areas of specialization. Additionally, investors must practice critical thinking, conduct thorough research, and maintain an independent perspective when making investment decisions. Ultimately, the responsibility for one’s investments lies with the individual and not solely with the professionals on Wall Street.

Almost no one had a clue about finance, but at least they can find Portugal on a map…I guess that's something.
American education is bad
Can you imagine how much less control the government and the banking industry would have on people if they required this type of basic financial literacy as a prerequisite to getting a credit card, for example? God forbid they demanded FIRE proficiency in high school or as a certification similar to getting a driver's license! Living below your means??? NO WAY!! I wonder why JP Morgan, Goldman and the Bilderberg types wouldn't want that LOL. Freedom and happiness are not all about money, but money certainly helps!
Nice video! Seems like most of the interviewees are maybe not even Americans/New Yorkers? Looks like those international travelers are 'investing' in experiences 🙂
Is crazy how many adults don’t know nothing is funny but sad at the same time because there’s so much information now these day on YouTube and google like come on people even the these Chanel that I follow @ourichjourney
Hopefully, everyone you interviewed takes great intrest in retirement moving forward.
This was a bit discouraging, as someone who works in NYC I would have hoped we would represent the financial literate better. However out of most of my friends and colleagues only one other person regularly engages with me on finances knowledgeably and I can bring it up in almost any scenario!
Amazing video you guys have a future as street reporters!
Hey I'm the guy that answered all the questions correctly who didn't work in the financial industry! You guys are awesome and I wish you all the best.
That’s so interesting! I’m shocked people don’t know. I’d like to know if you asked the same questions in the London.
Holly crap!! Why would u say, yeah I work in finance! Then back track. As for the guy that says, I did personal finance. Wow!!
That was intersting to see how many do understand about basic investing. But sad that the young women is scared to start.
A lot of people out there to educate. Fun segment.
Thank God for the Dave ramsey steps can you set up something like that for us
Loving these videos from NYC!
My degrees are in finance. It genuinely makes me realize how much isn’t taught to the average person, and it’s disrespectful. I followed this channel awhile back because the movement interested me (and I was curious to see if true info was being shared). I hope people who are skeptical realize this channel is legit! While I understand the investments side, the FIRE movement isn’t taught either so there’s something for everyone here. Bravo.
Wow.. Access to investing is so easy now and not having a Roth IRA if you make less than the maximum threshold is just backwards thinking. I really wish I had been as aggressive about investing as I was about buying and refurbishing cars 10 years ago and just bought a Corolla.
Excellent video Brother
I was able to answer all the questions, BUT it’s because I have learned it ALL from your channel! Following Our Rich Journey has been the best education! Thank you!
Great video. But, I wonder what the answers be if they will be inheriting any generational wealth from their parents or other relatives.
When you watch this video you realize why so many people have no savings.
This was soooo entertaining and very informative, thank you Amon for doing this, hopefully you will do more in the future! ❤
This is the kind of things that must be taught in high school
I wonder if you guys are in town because your eldest daughter has chosen to attend NYU or Columbia. If so, congrats to her!
Being a New Yorker, to be fair, most of these folks do not appear to be from NY. Locals don't hang out in Wall St area unless they go there to work (and not in casual clothes). Most sound like tourists, so don't blame them if they have govt pension plan where they come from and don't know about Roth.
I'm not gonna be "that guy" either, lol.
Love this format ❤
Honestly, I assumed that because everyone is on social media these days and has access to a wide array of information, that most would be familiar with financial independence, investing, index funds, etc… clearly, that is not necessarily true.
Love these videos 0:13
Hilarious! I felt very knowledgeable listening to those people. It really increased my Financial self-esteem. 🙂
Such a fun video! Shared in hopes to spread the FI/RE message and your awesome channel!
