If you get a mortgage it’s actually way more expensive right now

  2. iDUMPEDbeforeTHEPUMP

Yet the house I’ve been eyeing just went up another 55k last week. Fuckers aren’t getting the memo

  3. Big-Industry4237

You will need to pay cash for it to be cheaper. Lol and prices are still increasing where I live rofl

  4. pqitpa

Have you seen mortgage interest rates?

  5. IO_engineer

if you didn’t lock in a fixed mortgage rate in the last 5 years, you’re a fucking moron.

  6. Banana_banana666

Time for me to just raise rent

  7. raffa1988

Can’t wait!!! If you look at historical prices/interest rates, and compare payments and how home prices would have to decline for those prices to remain comparable as rates will be approaching 8%, one could argue prices have to decline way below 2018/19 levels. Not to mention that no one in the middle class would be able to afford a house at the current rates unless prices decline significantly.

What cheaphouse? Interest rate is through the roof. Poor people are gonna play double of what assholes paid back in 2019.

Still probably some broke ass who can’t afford to buy LOL

I’m getting transferred for work so I really don’t have a choice but to pay a high interest rate. I’m going to keep my current house and use it as a rental property until it makes sense to sell it.

  19. rp2012-blackthisout

No one has an ARM. Rates were under 3-4% for a good while. Also, if you bought even in Aug at 5% you’re doing way better than the person buying now at 7% and a house that’s 10% cheaper.

Your fantasy of ’08 rehappening isn’t happening.

  20. RandomCrazyPerson33

Man I hope so… I was lucky to lock in a low mortgage rate and get pre approved 2 years ago. I have 3 years to find a house and use the mortgage, for which I am already approved…

I found 4 houses. All of which were appraised far below their fair value by the mortgage company.

So just be aware these are the games they play. They want to build their profit in that property right away. And the will do that by any means necessary.

Weather appraising for less than fair value, making you pay more upfront…. or by reaming you with high interest. (For a property they know is overpriced).

    Can you fight it legally?..

Sure but think about where that would lead…. you spending more money, which you have been saving, ect, ect. There is a very high chance you will get nothing, just be poor by the end.

It’s really unfair, but yeah they got us by the balls.( at least me, I hope not you)

P.S. I’m new here so sorry if this is formatted like a madman. Glad to be here tho and nice to meet you all. I am from the US but moved to the EU 10 years ago.

They won’t get cheap, I’d imagine another parachute from the fed.
