    Excellent points. In my department meeting I queried the staff and most think investing is so overwhelming they don't want to enter the water, no matter how shallow or transparent the water is… Thus, they choose the easy option: managed planning…or target date consolidated funds.
    I took a differing approach: Lined up all the investment options by expense ratio and then performance over 10 yrs. I selected those funds and have had a great run thus far.. Great Southern drawl btw… I've used it to my advantage in my career, even signing deals with difficult NYC analyst. That drawl is relaxing and trusting….

    Hey, sorry for the slightly off topic question. But I watched your after-tax 401k video and the comments are turned off.
    My company allows after-tax in-service distributions but only after 24+ months, which I’ve never heard anyone talk about. They would disburse contribution check and earnings check separately and said I can roll both over into ROTH IRA and Traditional IRA respectively.
    Is there anything people in my situation should be aware of or can we do this every two years, no problem?
