So mine only has two wires coming out the roof, red, green. Can I find these wires inside the winegaurd antenna on the roof instead of trying to find all the wires
Great video… but one thing you can add is how to tell which wire is "hot"… my 2021 Grand Design came with the prewired ceiling dome… however… the only power wire was a long loop… so all the prewire folks did was give you a two-pair loop… and the colors of the wires were Orange/White… thus, it had to be cut and then spliced together with the power dangle that Winegard provides… and then wirenuts to secure… had to use a volt-ohm meter to make sure which was the positive lead (in my case, orange). THEN… the Grand Design folks put the prewire hole smack dab in-between the smoke detector and the hall light… so there was no way I could run the wires through the "guide hole" on the mount… and I had to do some intricate measuring to figure out how to mount the mounting plate so that I could cover the hole as well as miss the smoke detector and hall light, and to figure out how to stuff the wires into the deeper channel of the Gateway…. just some hints for those that come across the same thing…. the other thing missing in your video is when and when not to use the power switch that Winegard provides… in my case (on my 5th wheel) I opted to just wire the Gateway "hot"… so Winegard 'could' mount the on/off switch in the Gateway and let the customer decide to either wire the switch or wire the Gateway 'hot' all the time… just an idea….

found the 3 gray but couldn’t locate and pull thru power wires.. not attached to the bubble which would have made life simple
You cannot get unlimited data, this is considered a stand alone hot spot for carriers and you have to buy a data plan. You cannot just add a cell phone sim with unlimited plan. I tried and ATT cut me off when they noticed it wasn't a cell phone due to data being used. If someone has a work around, let me know. I heard Verizon is allowing unlimited data.
Most confusing option ever known to campers. When did camping become so completely confusing. Awful. I’m not even attempting this…I wouldnt even know where to begin. If the camper dealers have zero clue on this, it should not even be an option on campers. Ever.
We have a keystone hideout and when we removed the bubble we were able to see the 3 WiFi connectors but nothing for power as so many others have mentioned in these comments. Only the green and white cable in a continuous loop. Wondering if anyone has had a luck with figuring this out?
we went to connect our unit and the wires from the trailer literally disconnected from the box 🙁 so upsetting as we now do not know what to do short of contacting the dealer. More disappointments with our 1st year of owning our apex (owned a freedom express 2nd hand previously no issues).

Great Video! I used this to install my gateway-1000 into a 2020 Freedom Express 29SE and ran into an issue. The power line in the celling had no power to it. Suggestions on to where the power would come from so I can check for a loose wire / bad in-line fuse?

Winegard had a standard setup that each RV brand had to follow. Our Voyager had no wires at all. My husband went on the roof and tried taking off the dome, only to find the dome sealed to the roof. Seriously?

How can you be a rep for winegard and not even mention that every kit come with a switch?? What is the switch for???
I have a keystone outback ultralight and under my winguard cap the wires look nothing like this. There are green and white thin ones that are connected. And two thick ones that are black and another blue. I am confused.
My luck I only see 3 wires. No power at all. I have to head to the roof to find where they sit and shove them down to get them.

I just purchased the gw1000 for my 2021 Keystone Bullet 330BHS. They do love to advertise their use of "conventional 12V color codes. Green and white are not conventional pos/neg. That said, I am more concerned with the need for a switch. Is this 100% needed??

When you pulled out the sim in the video it seems like it had an att logo on it. My new gateway seems to also have the att logo on the sim card that came with it. So do the units come with a winegard sim or an att sim?
