Marriage and Money – Dave Ramsey Rant
Dave Ramsey is a well-known financial expert who has helped thousands of people get out of debt and achieve financial freedom. One of the topics he frequently rants about is marriage and money, and for good reason. Money is often cited as one of the top reasons for divorce, and the way couples handle their finances can make or break a relationship.
Ramsey believes that couples should be on the same page when it comes to money and finances. He often talks about the importance of having open and honest conversations about money, setting financial goals together, and working as a team to achieve them. He believes that it’s crucial for couples to be in agreement about how they’ll handle their finances and to have a plan for reaching their financial goals.
One of Ramsey’s key points is the need for couples to budget and live within their means. He often says that debt is the enemy of marriage, and that couples should work together to get out of debt and stay out of debt. He emphasizes the importance of living on a budget and avoiding the use of credit cards and consumer debt.
Ramsey also talks about the significance of having an emergency fund and saving for the future. He believes that couples should prioritize saving money and building wealth for their future, and that having a solid financial foundation is crucial for a strong and healthy marriage.
Another important aspect of marriage and money that Ramsey stresses is the need for couples to be in agreement about big financial decisions. He often speaks about the importance of making major financial decisions together, and the potential damage that can be done to a marriage when one spouse makes a significant financial move without the other’s consent.
In conclusion, Dave Ramsey’s stance on marriage and money is clear – open communication, shared financial goals, living on a budget, avoiding debt, and making major financial decisions together are essential for a healthy and successful marriage. While money can be a major source of conflict in a relationship, Ramsey’s principles offer a roadmap for couples to navigate their finances in a way that strengthens their relationship rather than tearing it apart.

This speech bought a tear to my eye. So true. After 14 years of marriage…
Ladies in this comment section: "my husband…" if you're not going to drive yourself, don't be a backseat driver
It blows my mind that people actually go around trusting each other. How?
Nothing worse than a woman who wants to do things her way, but she doesn't have the money
Marriage is no longer holy! This is what I have learned from Americans! Almost half of the population are divorced!
If you dare to get divorced so why remarry??? Once you are divorced that breaks the holy sacrament of marriage!!!
Marriage is no longer holy to USA!! Marriage is just about money!!!
We worked it out her money is her money and my money is her money
holding hands wont pay the rent
My husband controls the money, and he refuses to communicate or share. I’ve tried everything. I’m simply waiting for death or bankruptcy whatever comes first. And we’ve taken the Dave Ramsey’s financial courses
Totally agree as a married woman with two grown children with my husband. Women we have to be strong to not put more stress onto our husband. Build him up and avoid the arguments. Your husband will do far better financially when you support him. Tough times will come so be ready for those times. Pray together and build him up. You won't believe how you, the wife can turn this problem around.
Haven’t had a TV since 1979. My life is much better as a result.
I'm a woman and I'm not the saver in the relationship. My bf pays the majority of the bills, but if I mess up or make a financial mistake, I end having to ask him to help me pay a bill or two and he acts like he got stabbed in the back.
Using your fists and words and blame on a woman will really be expensive. guys self perserve by throwing her under the bus as she "spends" to provide for the family as a given regularly. Ex froze and took no action, and things fell apart. His plan was to pidgeon drop all debts on me.
What is Dave's stance on LGBTQ especially solosexuals/autosexuals?
I needed this today!
In modern times, there’s no reason for men and women to get married. That’s just the truth.
lol.. Rocky 46.. love this guy!
Wow, love this! So real. ❤
Sell so much your kids think they’re next lol
You have a plan but no life. You sell everything and still can't get out of the hole. Your wife calls you only to ask if we have money for groceries, then tells you she's unhappy because you can't support your family. You try to explain everything will be fine ,but no one wants to hear it. I think I have run out of plans.
If marriage is this difficult why do that in first place
Thank YOU for this video Dave!!! Thank you!!
What do you do if your wife makes more money than you and is sitting back watching you go in the negatives every month struggling to pay all the bills while she saves thousands a month paying 250$ in bills a month. she refuses to help pay anything else and it just start a huge fight everytime it is talked about. Im at a loss idk what to do with this situation but it is very frustrating we could live great if she contributed to our bills
When my hubs & I met he was kind & calm right from the beginning. I had 10k debt from school (I came from an unloving family & was kicked out at 18) so I was very on my own. He was a supply teacher who was still living at home. He helped me pay off my debt, we got married & now he works as a specialist for children & I work in a job I love that is stress free so I can support him & our future children at home. Support & work together people! It's a team when you get Married. ☺️
Man I haven't seen Heehaw in so long
We have never suffered "financial stress" because I have always made sure we are financially secure. Where we argue is she thinks I'm greedy bc I deal with the finances. She has a full time job and contributes nothing to the household. She blows through her paychecks then runs to me for cash. She tries to make me feel bad for being a financial genius. Guess what? She can kick rocks!!!!!
Betrayed by husband ….gave away all our money now many years past retirement age didn't pay off our house. He completely destroyed our marriage. He had a big salary
GAVE THE MONEY ALL AWAY
now what do I do. He hides has hidden life for 40 years
True.
Never marry poor…. U will live in misery … I love my husband but hate being married… he’s comfortable with nothing while I always wanna go higher smh
The barking chihuahua is the emotional decision-maker who is committing fiscal infidelity with our future.
Omg I needed to hear this
Well what if the financial issues involve being in the Army & away from family for months & no end in sight to financial issue?
Men, never get married!!
My wife and I got married on paper and now we are thinking it was the biggest mistake we made. I lost a lucrative career in oil and gas and now we want to have children and she wants to go back to school but make just too much to qualify for medicaid or any other type of benefits. We are thinking about a "paper" divorce just to reap some of the anti- christian/marriage laws that the recent marxist regimes have passed. Anyone have experience in this?
Crying while watching this, I am running out of my everything….
