Disney’s Polynesian Staycation: Day 2 – Magic Kingdom Day, Watching Fireworks From Our Room & Breakfast

Our staycation at Disney’s Polynesian Resort continued with an exciting day planned at the Magic Kingdom, followed by a breathtaking fireworks display viewed right from our luxurious room, and a delicious breakfast to kickstart the day.

After a restful night’s sleep in our beautifully themed room, we eagerly made our way to the Magic Kingdom, just a short monorail ride away. As we stepped into the park, we were instantly greeted by the enchanting charm and wonder that only Disney can provide. The colorful attractions, beloved characters scampering about, and the infectious laughter from visitors young and old truly made us feel like we had entered another world.

We embarked on an adventure-packed day, exploring the various themed lands and experiencing classic attractions. From flying high on Peter Pan’s Flight to voyaging through the jungles on the beloved Jungle Cruise, every moment was filled with joy and excitement. We couldn’t resist indulging in some iconic Disney treats like Mickey-shaped ice cream bars and popcorn that just added to the magical atmosphere.

One highlight of the day was witnessing the iconic Disney parades. As the sound of bugle horns and cheerful music filled the air, we eagerly found a prime spot to catch a glimpse of the vibrant floats and Disney characters marching by. The smiles on the faces of children, and even adults, were contagious as everyone soaked in the beauty and creative genius of these spectacular parades.

As the day turned into night, we hurried back to our Polynesian oasis to enjoy a special treat. From the comfort of our room’s balcony, we had a front-row view of the mesmerizing fireworks display happening at Cinderella Castle. The vibrant bursts of color, sparkling lights, and the accompanying music created a truly enchanting atmosphere. It was a magical moment, made even more special by the fact that we could enjoy it from the privacy and comfort of our own space.

After the fireworks display, we headed down to the Kona Café for a delightful breakfast to start our day right. The charming, laid-back ambiance of the café, coupled with the delicious aromas wafting from the kitchen, instantly put us in a relaxed and jovial mood. The menu boasted an impressive variety of breakfast delights, ranging from classics like fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon to innovative island-inspired dishes such as Tonga Toast, a mouthwatering concoction of banana-stuffed sourdough bread.

With our stomachs happily satisfied, we continued our staycation at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, ready for another day of exploration and adventure. From the magic of the Magic Kingdom to the tranquility of our room, this staycation has truly been a remarkable experience. We can’t wait to see what the rest of our Polynesian adventure holds in store for us. Stay tuned for more updates from our Disney staycation!

I loved hearing Jackson’s reaction to the fireworks!

Fun fact about the tylenol, most theme parks and amusement parks will provide some kind of ibuprofen/acetaminophen for free at first aid! I always end up needing some after riding rollercoasters all day so always check at first aid, they'll usually just take down some information tho like your name and like why your requesting it. (I've done this at universal, as well as at amusement parks closer to home for me like kings island and cedar point)

Great video food looked good the fireworks looked awesome now its time to pay the price

Gosh Jackson’s little face on the carousel. He is living the dream! ❤

  5. M.a. Grieser

Just wondering if you get your hotels comped or heavily discounted? I’ve looked into some of these on property hotels and was somewhat shocked at the pricing. Genuinely curious as to how people are affording staying on property

  6. Clara Casé

Just got back from my Disney trip and I can Assure this first week of July parks were WAY lesse crowded. I was able to get 7 genie + reservations in one day at Magic Kigdom, regular lines were very reasonable timing. I was expecting caos, but received a pleasant surprise. I’ve been to bigger crowd times in January.

  7. Madison Mapson

I’m so happy Jackson is finally able to enjoy the fireworks. His commentary was so cute. He’s loving so much about Disney.

  8. Kayla Carr

Lol I love how Jenn always says it’s a short trip which I guess it is technically but for me that’s a longer stay and for them too since they are local and they do these stays a lot and they are very expensive, 3 nights racks up quick lol! I always wish I could do like a true Disney vacation staying for like a week but at the same time I love having an annual pass and getting to go many times a year

  9. Lucas Dhaliwal

They give you the Tylenol for free because they know if they can keep you feeling good then you will stay in the park and spend more money lol

  10. Nicole

I'm glad Tim enjoyed his breakfast, it seems Jenn is always having the good luck when they go out lol. Better luck next time Jenn!

  11. Nichole

I am so glad they are doing 4th of July treats and fireworks again. We went to Disney 2 years ago for my husband’s 40th birthday (which was on the 4th of July) and to celebrate his retirement from the Air Force after 21 years of service. Not only did they not have fireworks for the 4th, but there were no treats or anything special for the 4th of July. We were so disappointed.
