The Brittney Griner DEBACLE: Elijah Schaffer Joins Truth Bombs

In recent weeks, an incident involving professional basketball player Brittney Griner has taken the sports world by storm. And now, adding fuel to the fire, controversial commentator Elijah Schaffer has decided to join the discussion with his usual brand of explosive commentary on his show, Truth Bombs.

For those unfamiliar with the situation, Griner, a prominent player in the WNBA, found herself at the center of controversy when she was involved in an altercation during a game. Accounts of the incident differ, but what both sides can agree on is that tensions quickly escalated, leading to a physical altercation between Griner and several other players.

The incident sparked a widespread debate about the role of gender in sports, the level of aggression allowed on the court, and the league’s response to such situations. As emotions ran high, public figures with a penchant for controversy, like Schaffer, saw an opportunity to capitalize on the controversy and enter the fray.

Elijah Schaffer, the host of Truth Bombs, is known for his unfiltered and often inflammatory commentary. While some praise his willingness to tackle controversial topics, others argue that he thrives on sensationalism and the exploitation of divisive issues.

His decision to wade into the Griner debacle is certainly no exception. On his show, Schaffer unleashed a barrage of scathing critiques aimed at various parties involved in the incident. He questioned the integrity of the WNBA, accused Griner of lacking sportsmanship, and called for harsher punishment for unsportsmanlike conduct in professional sports.

Of course, it’s worth noting that while Schaffer may bring attention to controversial issues, his expertise and understanding of the situation may be limited. Some argue that his inclination to express strong opinions without a well-rounded perspective undermines the credibility of his analysis.

The Griner debacle highlights a larger issue in today’s media landscape – the power and influence of commentators who primarily seek to provoke strong reactions without necessarily offering constructive insights or attempting to foster nuanced discussions. Elijah Schaffer’s participation in this debate is an exemplification of such a trend.

Rather than rehashing the same tired arguments or relying on sensationalism, perhaps it is time to approach incidents like this with a more measured approach. Instead of focusing on personal attacks or fueling the fire, we should seek to understand the underlying factors that contributed to the altercation, such as the competitiveness of professional sports or the unique pressures faced by athletes.

In the end, the Griner debacle and the inclusion of Elijah Schaffer in the discussion only serve to highlight the need for more responsible, thoughtful, and balanced commentary in the realm of sports media. Instead of seeking attention through incendiary remarks, we must strive for a more constructive dialogue that ultimately benefits the athletes, the fans, and the sport itself.

Damn, I haven't heard Elijah this candid before. You really seem to bring out the best in someone and I have new found respect for him and for you. If you let people be people, it's amazing what you'll discover about them 🙂

Out of all the people on YT I've found Schaffer to be one of the most abhorrent individuals it's been my misfortune to watch. A past vivisectionist which people I find to be some of the worst of humanity and I would've thought to be 'anti-Christian' in principle. Opiniated/dogmatic, myopic, judgemental with a holier than thou attitude. Borderline misogynistic and conventionalist who appears to base the majority of his opinions on his Christian ideology. Little wonder 'You are here' crashed into oblivion, just a shame we lost Sydney along the way. Beware of fast talkers, they're most often close minded parochial individuals who are overtly disinterested in what others have to say. Talk about a contradiction, Ivory's the polar opposite, has morals, integrity, ethics, empathy and an open mind. Re. finding a 'match', look for the person who has life skills, maybe seen adversity to a greater or lesser degree, has grace, depth and compassion and an open mind. If you confine yourself to financial and/or career selectivity you're potentially missing out on the hidden gems. IMO anyway…

With respect it seems like Ivory wants an abusive guy because if he's assertive against your will, you'll leave him. If he's not assertive against your will you'll label him beta so what's left?!

I used to watch "slightly offensive"
Until they started making fun of people with Down Syndrome.
When humor punches up, it's funny.
When you think it's funny making fun of people with a cognitive impairment, your sense of humor is on the same level as the NDSP.

I've never been intimidated by a woman who makes a lot of money. I just assume they only want a man who makes more than they do.

Well if I wasn't married to my lovely wife I would take you on a date. I might be to old but an older man might be your only option, the way it sounds

Ivory in another life I would say lets get dinner.
But due to failing health I will never be healthy enough to have a normal life and wont drag someone else through that with me.

If she had surgery to lose the tits there'd be scars. She could be like that runner who they ended up banning cause she's intersex. Has internal testicles, looks like a man but I'm guessing has a vagina.

  16. Alexez

Listen. I don't know how I feel about Ivory. I keep getting this sense of her sensoring herself or trying to walk that tight rope of what she needs to say to be in good graces with whomever. BUT the fact that she's having Elijah on… I'm willing to correct myself and say I'm wrong. Not yet though. I need more time. But I'm here from and for the #GrowerGang. And that's all that mattera

Why is Brittney the woman playing basketball outdoors without a shirt on? A woman outside without a shirt on would be considered indecent exposure. So wth? Is this her?
