Destiny 2 Lightfall – Solo Root of Nightmares Raid – Encounter #2 “Enter the Root” / Scission Encounter. Just a quick video showing a solo clear of the second encounter in the new Lightfall raid. Details below.
Even easier than the first encounter really. Both of these are a good entry point for anybody looking to get into to solo raid challenges if you ask me. I nearly got pushed off at the end bit, and some bad Sword tracking slowed me down in parts. But even without Well Skating or Shatter Skating this is quite simple. The fact that the first two encounters were done solo on contest mode by people says a lot about the difficulty here. Which is something I probably should’ve done too considering how simple they are, but ah well it was nice to have the break for a day anyway.
As I mentioned on the first video, there’s potential for all encounters to be done I believe. Our group kind of bruteforced the final two encounters so I’m not too familiar with the mechanics on those yet, but if they end up being possible I’ll get them done too.

Can anyone answer this: are any of the enemies he’s killing required for the mechanics or anything? Besides at the end when he clears what’s left. Also is there a timer for clearing what’s left after? Hard to see on my phone

When that first hammer went off the edge while clearing those ads, it was deeply satisfying. Even someone on this level misses a stupid shot with the hammer sometimes, I'm not alone.
this raid is actually a joke. full raid solo being possible without any glitches required is just bad design
if any destiny player tells you "you cant solo raids" just show them Eso's channel i bet you they'll have an meltdown
I really don't understand how ppl can take so many hits and survive that . I got my resilience almost to 100 and I still get dropped with a couple of shots

They need to add a new difficulty to every activity called "eso" and pretty much just make it 70 power levels over with triple the normal champions

getting halfway through the 2nd floor all by stasis skating made me feel amazing, seeing this makes me really wanna complete it, just so difficult with the sword tracking and keeping shatter skating consistent
