I don’t even react to it anymore. Happens to me so often. Something is flat for 6 months. I’m down like 9% on it overall. I say fuck it, I’d rather take the small loss and put this money somewhere else. Literally hours later is goes +50% in the span of a couple hours. I don’t even flinch anymore.

  7. Pam_Schrute

I just don’t have a consolidation phase. Immediate up after I sell.

Looked up the old Boomer portfolio today and looks like I’m up a solid 6% per year over the last two years. Has anything important been going on or has it just been smooth sailing?

Most everyone is like this when they start treating. I was no different 20 years ago. The key difference if you keep at it, educate yourself and stay in the game. That bottom part. If you find yourself there because of a correction you didn’t see coming or you didn’t manage properly. That area where new people get bored is where you should get greedy, start looking for value and accumulate quality positions.

  31. ped70

My strategy is to erase the stock from my list after I sell. I don’t want to hear anything about it.

  32. CryptoGamerBros

Pretty much me, just holding a bunch of bags that don’t look like they’ll ever go anywhere. Luckily I “only” invested $1000 in a few penny stocks and GME, so it’s not like my life savings is on the line. It gave me some practical education about how stock trading works, so there’s that I guess. Maybe these shit stocks will blow up some day and I’ll still make out. If not, oh well, I’ve wasted plenty of money on other things that had no return whatsoever.

  35. wombatnoodles

    $TEVA. You’re welcome

  36. A1exandre

My workaround is to chase dividends like an idiot. This way I don’t need to ever sell. I just claim the dividends and move them to whatever investment I feel is justified at the time.
