Fidelity Investments 101: Setting Up Your Dividend Investing Account | Investing, Dividends

Setting up your investing account is crucial to get started investing in the stock market if you want to make dividends or other passive income. I personally use fidelity investments for the majority of my dividend investing portfolio. It is easy to use and user friendly, this is my fidelity investments tutorial. I use this for all my wealth building, cash storing and dividend investing.

In the portfolio, I have a Fidelity 401k, Roth IRA, and individual brokerage account. I reinvest my dividends to attain more monthly dividend income and passive income! I also use fidelity to host 529 accounts for my nieces and nephews! And have real estate investments like fundrise, cardone capital and REITs.

Head to www.fidelity.com to open your portfolio today! (I am not a fidelity affiliate, and do not make a commission off this link)

literally skipped the part of making the account i had questions on… like the trade part and what kind of core and all that….. THATS what people are looking for when asking about setting up your account

  2. cipherrrr

These are great but they keep skipping vital information. You skipped from how to start creating an account to a fully fleshed out account with positions in it by the dozens. You never showed the viewer how to add a position or get out of one. Thats huge for beginners and it feels like you kinda left everyone hanging after pushing "create account" button. Thats the easiest part to figure out by yourself lol. Much love though man.

What would be the minimum amount to start investing with Fidelity’s brokerage account (if they require an initial contribution amount). Particularly for Fidelity’s index funds.

    Thanks!

hi quick question. what if i place an order that isn't completed, then close the platform. will the order still complete if the price is reached even if the platform is not open?

  33. Eric

i just set up an individual investment account with fidelity, and i am pretty much at a loss as how to tell what the heck is going on with my account. for one thing, some of the stocks that i have bought and sold show as separate transactions.

    example:
if i buy $3,000 worth of X, why am i showing one transaction price of $2,470 and another of $530? and where can i look to see my transaction fees?

Fidelity: Why do I need to provide my bank login credentials (Username and Password)?

This is required in order for us to log in to the bank account and complete the verification process to confirm that the bank account being added is actually your bank account. Fidelity only uses this information once during the login process, and the data is not stored in any manner whatsoever.

  35. linandy1

They wanted my banking log on user name and password ! I don't want to give them that, thats too much info. Does that sound right?
