I live in a state where precious metal purchases are taxed. I can start a precious metal Ira with UBS but the question is are the metals that UBS purchases for me and puts in the vault subject to Ohio sales tax? Where can I find this subject documented?
Do I take silver out now when it is low price or getting taxed huge when it is high or risk never geting it?

Tax benefits for PM IRA is not worth the trouble. Also IRS knows how much you got. SCREW THAT.
I certainly hope your title isn't click bate, watching now….it would be nice if they provided a roll over (they do) so I could take a portion of my IRA and roll it into a precious metals one. In the metals, I see a major uptick with precious metals so anyone like me who is partially retired could possibly benefit from that. I guess I would need to know the storage fees, insurance, and shipping. I wonder if the $300 a year is a flat fee or is based on the amount of the portfolio. She just said there is a flat fee, so this is very reasonable. Maybe one should buy gold as it wouldn't take up as much room. Good info at least to think about. Some people post risks from the trillions in debt so doing something like this would be spreading out the risk some from an equity based IRA. Good interview Sal – very interesting!

No storage fees for my stocks in my Roth IRA and now no trading fees (premium) when stacking equities. Plus how can you take possession of your PM and get the IRA benefit since you get charged capital gains when you sell it? The mechanics doesn't seem to make sense.

Get your credit report. They have all your addresses unless your don’t really have credit or anything in your name. They don’t miss a beat.
