What discretionary income??!!
The way I wash dishes, put the plug in. Rinse into the soap sink, but turn the water off between items. If doing a lot, when the soap sink is getting full, put the plug in the other sink for rinsing, or use a wash tub.
Way to go.
Nice video. 2021 was a great year for me since I started investing in the cryptocurrency market… I make really big profits in my investment when I started with 0.5 BTC and now…
I'll make 3.2 BTC.
What is the little cloth sachet you use with your dryer balls? Thanks so much.
You are so right about hotel vacations. Too expensive, if you spend the whole day at the beach and away from the hotel. I rented a chalet in Lueneburger Heide/ Hannover for our summer vacation in September. I can cook my own meals for the family, which saves additional money.
I enjoy your video but I have noticed you don't rinse your dishes very much and that really bothers me
Great video and tips. Thank you for sharing.
Can you kindly show your skincare routine and how you maintain good skin, prevent bags and dark circles etc xx
Thanks to remote work, we haven't spent any money on gas for 6 months..so thankful! ☺
I air dry my clothes in my bathroom on my shower curtain rod. I use my dryer for my towels and bedding.
Hi Robin, great tips. We are definitely looking at more ways to be frugal. We had thought about downsizing and buying a smaller home but the prices in our area proved to be so crazy we decided to stay where we are. I['ll see what renovations we need to do here. I'd love a new kitchen. In particular a new pantry. I'm going to look into it. Thanks for this video.
Great video! Amazing editing too! Thank you!
Very helpful ideas….thanks…
Saving money really IS as fun (or more than fun) as spending it! Especially when you reach your goals that much faster!
A very good video love your clear explanation. So peaceful to watch and listen to you. It inspired me to rotate luxery treatments and streaming services. Thank you from the Netherlands
Curious if you still drive the older 4 Runner that you mentioned in one of your previous videos…..we too drive older cars but I am really wanting to get something newer; however, the frugal side of me says to wait since car prices have gone crazy lately.
Thanks! I'd love to see a video on fun ways to travel economically. I do many of these already, but there are always ways to improve. Thanks for considering.
Thank you for this very important video. I have been following you for 2 years now and can say that you lead by example. Lots of love, Miriam ☀️
I am one of those who like to hand wash dishes. I found this round scrubbie with a built in soap container atop the bristles. I fill half dish liquid/half water. You can clean each dish as you dirty it! Rinse bristles well after each use and do a bleach soak of bristles once a week to sanitize.

Gas points were not added to the items noted for "fuel saver" program. Self check out isn't great but finding errors is. Who can keep track of what the cashiers are ringing up? Write your list out, keep track and feel more involved.
.y mom taught me to be aware when shopping. Look at different sizes of products and figure the cost per ounce. Tally up your bill ahead of time. When checking out, watch if it is the same or real close. Also, using the customer check out lane. I noticed prices and gas cred
Excellent video Robin and nicely timed. Here in the UK inflation is still causing problems together with high heating bills and petrol costs! Regarding your suggestion about supplying your own sweets at the cinema, I quite agree with you. Our cinema charges an arm and a leg if you want to buy popcorn or drinks so we bring our own. X
Great video! I just found your channel today. I already implement many of these suggestions and they definitely help me to manage my income most effectively.
I really enjoy your videos I have learned so much. I do wash dishes like you showed but I need to get some gloves,
Dryer balls are healthier I think. Hey what the flower pack you put the dryer with the dryer balls?
ok, another way to save money is to cut the cable companies, buy the Rukku or other devices which wouldn't charge monthly services fees , also another will save money is to if not us small appliances unplug it and will lower electric bills , in my opinion having swimming pool is a big expensive therefore if it was me would removal pool completely (cut costly maintenances and also combine water bill and electric bill too ) , am an almost vegetarian therefore no meat – ve-rrrrry expensive, although veggies can be expensive too but can put into freezer , bottom line is don't go overboard with money spend , remember this is only my opinion
Beautiful video.
I know I definitely need to cut out some mindless spending on clothes. I think I need to remove those shopping apps and unsubscribe from all the online retailers
Cycling through the various streaming services is a smart tip! Great insights!
Great ideas and tips, Robin! Some of these tips I've been using for years, but others were new for me! I'm very proud at being debit-free. Having a budget really helps – Dave Ramsey offers the Every Dollar budget which is free, easy to keep and works very well. Every dollar is accounted for, so there is no disposable cash without a specific purposed attached to it. As you said, saving money gives as much (if not more!) satisfaction than spending money. But as you say, you can still have treats, date nights and so on – just plan them into your budget!
When I watched yesterday there were links to your other frugality videos but now I can’t find it. Help?
I loved this one Robin and have always admired your frugal and sensible choices. Very inspiring! I like frugal living too, but don't like extreme frugality…ie no spend or EVERYTHING used. I do buy quite a bit used but am not adverse to buying a good quality item that will last….
I think I have to disagree about washing dishes. It only takes a small amount of dish soap in a small sink full of water. I think more soap is used by doing them individually and don't think they get cleaner than if they can soak for a minute in the hot water.
