HOW TO INVEST IN GOLD: Gold IRA Investing

When you graduate during a recession, it can feel like you are facing an uphill battle. The job market becomes more competitive, and companies may be less likely to hire new graduates. However, with the right mindset and approach, it is still possible to find success and build a career during challenging economic times.

One of the most important things to remember when graduating during a recession is to be proactive. This means being persistent in your job search and taking initiative to create opportunities for yourself. This may involve networking, reaching out to potential employers, and being open to different types of jobs or industries. It’s also important to stay informed about the job market and be flexible in your approach.

Additionally, it can be beneficial to focus on building your skills and experience during a recession. Consider taking on internships, freelance work, or volunteer opportunities to gain valuable experience and make connections in your field. This can also be a great way to demonstrate your determination and work ethic to potential employers.

Another important aspect of navigating the job market during a recession is to manage your expectations. It may take longer to find a job, and you may need to be open to starting in a lower position or accepting a lower salary than you had originally hoped for. It’s important to stay positive and be adaptable as you navigate the job search process.

Finally, it can be helpful to seek out support and guidance during this challenging time. Consider reaching out to career advisors, mentors, or other professionals in your field for advice and assistance. It’s also important to take care of your mental and emotional well-being during stressful times.

While graduating during a recession can be daunting, it’s important to remember that it is still possible to find success. By being proactive, building your skills and experience, managing your expectations, and seeking out support, you can navigate the job market and build a successful career, even during challenging economic times. Stay positive and persistent, and don’t be afraid to think outside the box as you pursue your career goals.

This market isn't as bad as during covid (still bad) but all the layoffs during covid for like 2 years meant there were 2 years of graduates ONTOP of the third year of graduates applying to jobs at the same time covid ended (plus all the laid off people applying too). 4 different cohorts applying at once. And that really wasn't that far off from literally right now in time. It really just all got backed up af

There's nothing like an ad for an online coding boot camp on a video about how getting a job in the tech industry is risky as many are getting fired or rescinded or not hired. The irony.

  6. @dynamo3059

i hate leetcode, sadly that's what all the highest paying jobs use. but yeah i had to apply to like 500 jobs to get my first one then got laid off into the pandemic nd cudnt find shit for like a year+.

that being said literally everyone i know that wanted a coding job eventually got one

I graduated in a recession and I was disrespected by the Bay Area – do not worry about losing a bad job with a bad company- a lot of people lose one job in the state and leave to another state after losing one job because they can’t trust the community- so people straight up Travel to find the best sexuality in the world because it’s not the United States anyway no respect in us. Some people get jobs in new countries and better lives. So people build companies in other countries and just do YouTube and Twitch out here through just distribution-

I interviewed for Amazon summer internship recently and received an email saying, "We have paused our hiring due to recession…………………………….." I guess My batch is the unluckiest batch ever 2020-24! We began during the corona and ending during recession.

The 09 recession ruined my life. Couldn't get a web Dev job after graduating with my cs degree and went into sales for 10 years. Switched careers back to tech and now in cyber security and finally making good money 10 years too late, dont be like me, keep applying

  16. @spacemeter3001

I'm going to tell you guys an industry secret:

You are already good enough. Most of the actual job positions require some basic coding skills and have barely anything to do with the leetcode bullshit you have to deal with in the job interview.

FAGMAN jobs are so competitive because youngsters get brainwashed by the internet to wanting to work there. The jobs ain't that good and you have to deal with narcissists, psychopaths or worse. Most people leave their jobs there after 1 year.
Also: FAGMAN jobs pay well, that is true. But the living costs there are extremely high so you end up having more or less the same living standards like a regular dev.

What you can do: Just look for regular non FAGMAN jobs. There are literally thousands of companies hiring right now. Don't bother with the silicone valley bullshit.

If you have an online exam to apply for a job, use all the tools available. The only thing that matters is getting the job.
