Inflation is a term that is often thrown around in discussions about money and finance, but many people may not fully understand what it means and how it affects the value of their money over time. In simple words, inflation refers to the increase in the prices of goods and services over time, leading to a decrease in the purchasing power of money.

To understand the impact of inflation, let’s consider the value of 1 crore after 25 years. One crore rupees may seem like a substantial amount of money today, but due to inflation, its value will significantly diminish over time. Inflation erodes the purchasing power of money, meaning that the same amount of money will buy fewer goods and services in the future.

Let’s take an example to illustrate this point. If the average annual inflation rate is 5%, then the value of 1 crore after 25 years would be significantly lower. In fact, using the future value formula, we can calculate that 1 crore at a 5% annual inflation rate would be equivalent to only around 21.4 lakhs in today’s terms. This means that the purchasing power of 1 crore after 25 years would be significantly reduced due to the impact of inflation.

So, what does this mean for the average person? It means that if you have 1 crore today and keep it in a regular savings account without earning any interest, its value will decrease significantly over the years due to inflation. This is why it’s important to consider the effects of inflation when making long-term financial decisions.

To combat the effects of inflation, it’s important to invest money in assets that have the potential to outpace inflation, such as stocks, real estate, and other investment vehicles. By doing so, you can protect the purchasing power of your money and ensure that it grows over time.

In conclusion, the value of 1 crore after 25 years will be significantly diminished due to the impact of inflation. It’s important to understand and consider the effects of inflation when making financial decisions, and to invest money in assets that have the potential to outpace inflation. By doing so, you can protect the purchasing power of your money and ensure that it retains its value over time.

    Sir ji nicely explained
Thanks a ton to make this video but I have one point that in cycle example Rs 1500 value now after 30 years becomes 6000 means 400% rise if we divide by 30 it comes 13% roughly showing inflation rate per year as 13% not 7%

As far as finance is concerned it is often the case that many like me (an educated high placed professional and retired now) find it complicated to indulge in various schemes like Mutual funds, Bitcoin, day trading, etc. Not for lack of intelligence but for simple lack of challenge in it (as it was in our own professions). The apathy increases slowly and finally, it lands up in an irreversible mentality of just 'put it in a fixed deposit and forget about it'. Postings like this are very useful because it make s you listen to the simple logic nd information. I became a thinking person now
