Life is unpredictable. Who knows what’ll happen next. But where your money and assets go won’t be so uncertain. With Fidelity, you can add beneficiaries to your account(s)!
A beneficiary is basically someone who you consider an heir. That person who you designate will get however much money or assets you have in the account you choose.
This one is a little morbid, but with the events that’s been going on in the last year, you can never be sure what’s going to happen next, so we want you to be prepared for the next steps. Fidelity’s platform is amazing because you don’t have to fill out and send in a form. You can easily add your beneficiaries to your account with a simple click of a button (and some typing necessary). Just make sure, if you do have any questions to reach out to a financial service advisor or a Fidelity representative!
Remember that if something happens, you still want to make sure to have a will and a lawyer to handle your estate. But to make sure that all your hard earned cash in your IRAs, Taxable Brokerages, and Cash Management Accounts don’t get seized or lost, make sure you take it a step further and note in your account who you want to inherit your money! You can split it up to multiple people, and they don’t have to be family.
