    When I take a $3,000. distribution after taxes I get $2,340.

    I started my 401k in 1985 and hit a million in 2020. I retired in 2016 and stopped contributions then.

    I’m 55. All of my 401k is traditional pretax. Would you change over and stop doing pretax and start making new contributions as Roth?

    That was my goal at 23yo when I started my 401k. Second goal looking to retire early by Rule of 55. Then COVID hit and the market volatility. I lost my job at 53 only to pick up PT work with benefits. Not sure I will make any of my goals but had a good shot and glad I did.
