If I already have 3,000 in my Roth, do I spend another 3,000 to buy Vtsax? Can I use the money in my Roth? Can I just add Vtsax to the Roth since 3,000 is in there?
Question: I've put my max into my Roth ira for 2021. It's currently in the settlement fund. Do I need to invest that by April for it to count as a contribution or can I leave it in the settlement account and make a decision at a later point?

Are there any settlement time difference between buy vtsax from the bank linked to vanguard and buy it from the settlement fund? I understand it will take about 2 business days for the bank transferring money to vtsax. How about settlement fund? two days too? Also, what will be the purchasing price if I buy vtsax directly from the bank? I am definitely a novice, but have a question. Trying to learn. I have invested in a vanguard ETF through Fidelity. When I put monies into the settlement account, can I use it to purchase a single stock also, or is this just funds going toward ETF?
