When does the money get taxed, is it during tax season or when you deposit? Because don't you pay taxes on your contributions for Roth IRA?

So I opened a Fidelity Roth IRA by transferring money from a previous Roth IRA at Trowe. How to I set it up so that I can put that money into Fidelity index funds? Anytime I try to trade it says funds available = $0 and the money looks like it is still in the Trowe target date fund.

Nobody can become financially successful over night. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals.

Got a couple of questions.. When you open a custodial account and you turn 18 does that account automatically become a normal account or do you need to do something. Secondly do you need to put money in every month? What if I put like 10 dollars every other day, does that work?

Hey I turned 18 in October but just recently opened a credit card (that I haven’t received yet) but when I enter my information they say they cannot verify my identity. Is it because I don’t have credit history? And will I have to wait till I do to open it?

Hi Tim, a newbie question here. I'm planning to open a ROTH account but is hoping to make the contribution accounted for the year 2021, pay a lump sum of 6k in the hopes of I can maximize the opportunity of investing in ROTH as I know there's a limit per year. Can I still do a retro account which I can make contributions for the year 2021 and still contribute for this year of 2022? Hoping to hear from your feedback.
