How To Use Thrift Savings Plan – TSP EXPLAINED

In this video, we’ll talk about what to do with your thrift savings plan and how your TSP works. I’ll lay out a few questions that will help you with your federal retirement plan. When TSP passes to a spouse and then to a kid, or any non spouse assets have to be withdrawn out of TSP vs the opportunity to move to an inherited IRA if it were in an IRA. If the primary beneficiary of the original account owner’s TSP was a non spouse, then it could be moved to an inherited IRA but couldn’t stay in TSP.
