Did those companies you mentioned that raised their dividend over 1,3,5 years. Was it through the board increasing the dividends and stock value was relative to the market? OR… Stock price was tanking increasing yield?

I'll have to agree that your investments adjust a heck of a lot easier than your household will with inflationary changes. Just don't sell. A rising tide in nominal dollars (and a nominal fall in purchasing power of each dollar) means cash flow investing should be relatively net neutral. It's like changing my unit of account from dollars to Yen. The companies that I own, that actually sell the goods and services that drive my investment value and cash flow adjust prices with supply and demand as best they can. That's their whole deal and why they exist: being as efficient with their sales and whatnot as possible.

I’m a dividend investor. I live off of 25-30% of my dividends. I’ll just keep on buying dividend paying stocks. Good stocks will be good stocks maybe even great. I own 70-75 stocks some people say it’s to many. I say it’s never to many. With that many stocks there are always stocks on sale. My average dividend is 3.6% approx. I like your videos on dividend paying companies. The videos I don’t like are your videos on the man made high dividend stocks.

Thanks, Joe. Good advice in "troubled" times. tl;dr = You're investing for the long term. Don't worry about week-to-week or even month-to-month market fluctuations.

New subscriber but long time listener . What’s your opinion on these dividend stocks vs high yield dividend etfs such as the ylds, divo, Jepi , etc?

We have another couple of months to find the bottom. The recession will present some good stock in august-october. I am sticking with QYLD for a while as well as energy and consumer staples. I like JETS and IYT too. What do you think of FARMX and FMAT?
