Inflation Beaters: Cars to Invest in — Jason Cammisa presents the 2023 Hagerty Bull Market

What do a Lamborghini Murciélago, a C5 Corvette Z06, and a NISMO 350Z have in common?
And why are they together with a Saab 900 Turbo, Hummer H1, and Harley-Davidson Knucklehead?

They — together with the Suzuki Cappuccino, 4th-generation Toyota pickup, Mercedes SLR McLaren, AMC AMX, and Audi R8 — have been chosen for the 2023 Hagerty Bull Market.

Every year, Hagerty’s Valuation Team picks ten collector cars (and one motorcycle) that are poised to appreciate in value. This year, we made a video with them all together, presented by Jason Cammisa and Randy Pobst — with the help of a crystal ball, Willow Springs International Raceway, and some beautiful back roads.

Introducing the 2023 Bull Market List in collaboration with @OfficialMobil1.

Thank you Hagerty for reminding me about why I had such a hard on for the SLR when I was younger

Wait a min.. you think a 350z is gonna jump in value? lol The entire list just went out the window.

I'm surprised the C5 Z06 is going up in price after so many years. The 03/04 Cobra shot up in price less than 15 after it ended production while the C5 had stayed in an average price lane

Oh my GAWD that R8 and Murci scenes were incredible. I had black R8 V10 I miss so much now… hope to pick up another gen 1 R8 in the future

Where can I shop for cars like these?

  6. Aphrodyte

Be sure you plan to sell them within 20 years because after that there won't be a market for collector cars. Boomers AND Gen X will simply mostly be too old to drive. No other generations collect cars. Also it looks like most of these cars are just not very good cars for their times.

Look at how many of these picks have 2 doors. That's where the smart money goes.

Call me crazy but my 97 Prelude is worth more day by day!

I will forever be indebted to you, you’ve changed my whole life, I’ll continue to preach about your name for the world to hear. You’ve saved me from a huge financial debt with just little investment, thank you so much Mrs DonnaElizabeth

Can you have them do a study on cars to buy in 2023 that could be the ones to hold on to? I think that would be really cool. And not like 300k vehicles I'd say under 75k

  12. Rob May

You Talk about the 350Z as a collectible car.
    What about the Infinity G35?
    It's a Z350 with a back seat…same car!
My brother had an inside angle to Corporate crusher cars. I drove the first G35X. His wife had the third 350Z convertible. He drove a Q45…all press cars.

stunning cinematography, awesome writing and sincere passion.

this is the perfect synthesis of all the best of automotive journalism. Grazie, Thank you!

Great collection of interesting cars, but I can't see how anyone can consider any of these "cheap". Finding a rare example of a 20 year old car that isn't all rusted out is going to demand a very high price, especially in today's absolutely insane car market.

  18. Xevan Knight

The SLR Mclaren is one of the most slept on cars but it is my favourite!!!

  19. Xevan Knight

Always beautifully and masterfully done as usual! Any day that I am unhappy or feeling down, I can watch Jason and Randy and I feel so so much better. You guys are gems and absolutely need to be preserved at all costs. Thank You for yet another AMAZING video

The Slap about the electric comment lmao

I loved the video but did not like the message in the end. The 401K is not something that should be touched. It is for your retirement. You should not open it even to do business, let alone to spend it all on buying a car, no matter the "guarantees" of a stable future price. I get that Hagerty is essentially an insurance company for special/classic cars and so they would like to expand their clientele but this not a very responsible way to go by advertising to people to waste their retirement plans on a whim.
