I've been looking MSFT more and more lately. This video is adding to my conviction.

Thanks for all the good stuff Jimmy! – The point about pricing power is valid but this is true for any company. It does not make sense to me that growth stocks do well under high inflation. My logic is that if inflation goes up, interest rates also go up, hence future cash flows (which grow stock have a lot of) will be discounted back to have lower present value. – am I mistaking something?

Hi Jimmy, you should start a mentorship program where you can take someone through everything they is to know about investing.

Hi Jimmy, Can you please run through a live example of a company financial through your DCF template of something more recent based on 2020 – 10K filing for apple for example. I have almost seen all your DCF evaluations, and started to make my own research based on your evaluation methods. Also usually yahoo financial only gives revenue estimates for the next 2 years only – so if you could use an example similar to that with 4 year projections that will be great. Btw , Im a big fan on your channel. Love all the work you do into building each research into a video. I wish I could see more evaluations of other companies more frequently.

Perfect. Old Dominion Freight Line (ODLF) looks undervalued using DCF method explained in one of your earlier videos.

This is cool way to add content to this channel.

Shorts having to be vertical is the dumbest thing, it's really funny here though

GOod explanation! i am very curious on your view on Alibaba! you tend to have great stock choises. curioius to see your view on this stock.

Idea for future video; how to mathematically calculate how inflation affects returns from CDs. I have a friend who has a CD, but has never owned stocks. So it is tough to recommend stocks at all time high prices. Should we wait for a correction? Or maybe asset prices will stay inflated for the foreseeable future.

Always glad to see a new vid from you.

  15. Eric Bell

    That clarification helps, thank you.

  16. 7lllll

inflation itself is not bad for growth stocks. the problem is that interest rate hikes usually accompany them, and that's bad for growth stocks

  17. hodokwaja

Thanks for the videos! So.. In case of hyperinflation, no industries would do well? Or safe to invest? Or the other 2 sectors that you said in the previous video, would likely do better than others?

  18. Péter Lukács

Yesterday when you said "growth stocks do well in inflation" I stopped the video and had to rewind if you really said that, this clarifies it! I have been thinking about this since… 🙂 BTW If you could make a video about GEO and CXW, they got hammered in the last 2 days and been on a decline for a while despite PE : 6 and FFO 3.7 (GEO). Have a good day

  19. tmc che

Please correct me if this is wrong.

Inflation usually means rising interest rates. Which means the future earnings will have a higher discount rate due to inflation or rising interest rates. In turn, the valuation of the company should decline along with share price.
Yes, pricing power is everything. But, if your customers don't have spending power then that's a wash.

  20. Rodrigo Nahuat

Would you consider FB and SQ stock to benefit from this aforementioned inflation?

  21. David Kurucz

That makes sense, have a nice day
