50% is not extreme if you don't need that money to live off .. that being the key .. you don't buy it and then run down to the shop to exchange for money every week .. every 5 or ten years reevaluate with the market

50% makes no since unless you don't own a home or are extremely rich. Having more net in gold and silver then your home and retirement accounts combined is beyond stupid for most people. Gold should be below both of those alone.

Under different circumstances I think 10% is smart. But these are crazy times. Where are other safe havens? Bonds? No. Stock market? No. Crypto? If anything, that's the new 10%.

How much or your portfolio is invested in Rolex? U might think it’s crazy but do some research. It’s as good as currency and highly in demand.
If the 50% includes silver, I'd say I might agree , because I never really had the money to buy gold , except for a few times, but a tube of silver, or a bar is much easier to save up for, and they accumulate while you're not looking. I am not even sure how much silver I have, but am pretty sure the ratio should be 100 to 1 by now. Since I have stopped inhaling more than once, I guess I should get busy drawing maps for those who thought I was crazy, or they will go crazy!lol
