1. EQUITY/STOCK MARKET – Equities generally offer a reliable haven during inflationary times. That’s because stocks historically tend to produce total returns that exceed inflation.

2. REAL ESTATE – Home construction and building materials are also getting recommended as inflation-busters. Real estate investment trusts (REITs), public companies that own real estate or mortgages, offer a way to invest in real estate without actually buying properties

3. TREASURY BONDS- There are multiple variants of bonds issued by GOI and State Governments which cater to the various investment objectives of investors. The Government Bond interest rates, also called a coupon, can either be fixed or floating and disbursed on a semi-annual basis.

4. GOLD & COMMODITY – Gold, as a very real asset and a commodity, tends to hold its value fairly well and can be a stabilizing investment during uncertain times for investors. This isn’t a perfect investment, of course, but it can be good to utilize as part of a diversified portfolio as inflation gets out of hand.

5. T-Bills – Treasury bills or T-bills, which are money market instruments, are short term debt instruments issued by the Government of India and are presently issued in three tenors, namely, 91 day, 182 day and 364 day.
