3-month T-bills are over 4% now. Some cash there.

Seems logical, but what if the prices for such companies at the end of a bull market are high (i.e. too expensive compared to their intrinsic value , leaving no margin of safety) ?

Hello Phil, do you use leverage in your investments?

Hey Phil! Thanks for the knowledge and advice, but I would love to see a portfolio review and/or more transparency and seeing which companies you have chosen

    Gold is not a investment.
    It Is wealth preservation.
You compare to Gold to stocks stocks that went up 500%..
Gold is up 500% in the last 20 years..
    Wealth preservation..
I thought you would know better..
If you want to put your money in the stock market..
Invest in what the government puts their money into..
They're not going to go broke, ( at least as long as we're not on the gold standard )
    There's that word again..
    Man's money from the heavens..
    Literally

Hello Phil, thanks for this great video.
I would really appreciate your opinion here.
Leaving in a country with a very weak currency and constantly falling against the dollar, is it even worth it to buy treasury bills which give about 12% per annum and hope for compounding? Or just convert the cash to dollars and hoard them.
    Thank you.

Comparing gold and stocks over the past 200 years is technically correct but doesn't make sense. Gold was pegged to a certain rate previously. The last 20 years you would struggle to find a better place to park your money

The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life.

I do invest in small companies which pay dividend

My portfolio is 66% SCHD. It held up well during the recent bear scare, but I'm not foolish enough to believe it's all bull from here. If the market tanks I'm looking forward to DCA some shares at a discount and let my dividends compound in my favor. I have satellite positions in Microsoft and Amazon for cloud computing infrastructure contracts, also Costco for subscription consumer activity. Small holdings in Ares Capital, Domino's, and Apple. DCA is the name of the game. Live inside your means, save, and invest the rest. Never stop unless you're fired then take any position you can while you fight to recover. Never lose the plot.

The dollar was pegged to gold, so comparing stocks and gold before the pegs removal is really comparing apples and oranges
