Gum recession is a common dental problem that occurs when the soft tissue surrounding the teeth wears away, exposing the roots of the teeth. This can lead to sensitivity, pain, and an increased risk of tooth decay and tooth loss. While gum recession is a serious issue, the good news is that it can be reversed with appropriate treatment and good oral hygiene practices.
There are several factors that can contribute to gum recession, including poor oral hygiene, brushing too hard, gum disease, hormonal changes, and genetics. If left untreated, gum recession can progress and result in irreversible damage to the gums and teeth. However, there are several ways to reverse gum recession and restore the health of your gums.
One of the most common treatments for gum recession is scaling and root planing, also known as deep cleaning. This involves removing plaque and tartar from the teeth and roots to promote gum reattachment and prevent further recession. In some cases, a gum graft may be necessary to cover the exposed roots and restore the gum line to its original position.
In addition to professional dental treatments, there are also several steps you can take at home to help reverse gum recession. These include:
1. Practicing good oral hygiene: Brushing and flossing regularly can help prevent gum disease and promote gum health.
2. Using a soft toothbrush: Brushing too hard can damage the gums and contribute to gum recession. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and brush gently to avoid further damage.
3. Avoiding tobacco use: Smoking and using other forms of tobacco can increase the risk of gum disease and gum recession. Quitting smoking can help improve gum health and overall oral health.
4. Eating a healthy diet: A diet high in sugar and processed foods can contribute to gum disease and gum recession. Eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can help improve gum health.
5. Using fluoride toothpaste: Fluoride can help strengthen the teeth and prevent tooth decay, which can contribute to gum recession.
While gum recession can be reversed with appropriate treatment and lifestyle changes, it is important to seek professional dental care if you notice any signs of gum recession, such as sensitive teeth, receding gums, or changes in the appearance of your gums. Your dentist can help diagnose the cause of your gum recession and recommend the best treatment plan to restore the health of your gums. With proper care and treatment, you can reverse gum recession and enjoy a healthy smile for years to come.

COCO FLOSS PERIOD !
So nothing unless i can afford a dentist? I can't, btw, or i wouldn't be looking at videos about gum recession. I would be making a dentist appointment.
I need a home remedy that actually works, please…
Or to win the lottery.
God, i love living in America…
Is there any truth to these "oil pulling" videos all over Youtube ?
It seems to me, that once the tissue is gone, it's gone and will never grow back.
Surgery seems like the only option to actually get tissue back.
I dont think it can be reversed, no, just contained and maintained ….. as for missing gums between teeth, grafts can be done, but expect to pay a few thousand quid!
Oh and of course Medicare will cover it
What a load of crap! Your body was designed to self-repair. Oral tissue transplant is not required. Typical patient deception and money grab. You should be ashamed!
