As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), I am often asked whether it is worth it to hire an accountant for taxes. The answer is a resounding yes!

Taxes can be complicated and confusing, and hiring an accountant can save you time, money, and stress. An accountant can help you maximize your deductions and credits, ensuring that you don’t miss out on any potential savings. They can also help you stay organized and on top of deadlines, ensuring that you don’t miss any important tax filing dates.

Additionally, an accountant can provide valuable advice on how to best structure your finances to minimize your overall tax burden. They can also help you plan for the future, advising you on how to best save and invest for retirement or other goals.

Finally, an accountant can help you handle any potential tax issues that may arise. If you are audited by the IRS, for example, an accountant can help you navigate the process and ensure that you don’t owe any additional taxes.

Overall, hiring an accountant for taxes can be a great investment. They can save you time, money, and stress, and provide valuable advice and guidance. So, if you’re looking to get the most out of your taxes, I highly recommend that you consider hiring an accountant.

am i able to hire your company living in CA i hired a CPA to do my 2020 taxes i did not owe any taxes by the time i had to file since i had already paid my taxes for the year and i explained to the CPA that due to trading in options, crypto and having switched brokerages and crypto trading on 3 different exchanges until i found the right one i liked best i had over 1000 trades and wanted to change to trader status with irs since i met the requirements the irs requires and being legally blind. out of the three different times they filed my 2020 taxes and me going over them not once did they mark any deductions whatsoever and didnt file me as being legally blind and disabled. not only that but since i live in California and there were like 3 different stimulus that i qualified for but my taxes had to be turned in by oct 15 2021 which i turned in everything to them months before the deadline that i clearly stated to them that there was a deadline for the stimulus and responded with saying there wasn't so its now 2023 and $500 dollars paid and still they have not completed my 2020 taxes with even the most basic information of me being legally blind and disabled not filing ETC for fed or state actually no deductions whatsoever besides the standard which i clearly explained to them all my business and trading expenses.

It's crazy to think I was calling around to get a quote for 2 W-2s, 2 dependents, head of house hold and state return (pretty simple for the most part) and I got anywhere from $150-$250… after this, it definitely made me reconsider, and now I plan to just suck it up and do them myself
